While searching the internet for articles on the concept of emergence, I found this PDF on systems thinking.

I like how Peggy highlights the differentiate-integrate dynamic that Ken Wilber talks about. 
The article is also great for tracking your progress in self-actualization. Very often with this work we are plunged into emotional chaos, which means instability (differentiation) that ultimately leads to a higher, more robust integration of oneself. Geeky, but cool!
