Brahmacharya

@Leo Gura@PBen534 Brahmacharya doesn't mean being alone for life. That's wrong

It literally means brahma = absolute/oneness/god and Acharya= follower/observing/a being

@dflores321 do you also feel bad the next day after you masturbate, like sort of out of it? For me its harder to keep track of things and I am more confused in my brain, there is also more bad behaviour toward the people around me.

When i dont masturbate things go my way more, and I feel like i have more power over myself

You gotta figure out what works for you.

Some people can have beers and be fine, but some people get shitfaced and embarrass themselves.

For me, masturbating to porn was adopted as a survival strategy to deal with how depressed and stressful my life was, dont need that anymore!

My life is better without it, and I think It is inevitable to transcend sexuality eventually anyway. But I'm not denying that theres many passionate, successful people who jerk off.

Same with me. Telling me to just squeeze one out is like telling a drunkard he can have one beer. It is not going to work.

You should read about the sacred secretion and kundalini. Semen transmutates the sexual energy thru the lymph up to the brain, with disciplined lifestyle and mediatation, and in the brain it becomes DMT, thats how saints achieved enlightenment,  not cheating with psychedellics.

When you got no creative outlet, no LP, yeah, you'll be jerking off multiple times a day. But when you cultivate a serious creative outlet you will be so busy you will barely have time to jerk off a few times a week.

Idle hands (and minds) do the devil's jerk

Ya this.. I know this first hand. Tho it doesn't have to be LP persay. I think a lack of goals in general can cause this struggle

My take on this is that it's all about balance. I am currently MO-ing about once a week and feel amazing in terms of brain clarity, confidence, authenticity and energy. However there is no way PMO-ing every day is healthy in any way. If you say that it's a bullshit justification for the inability to control your dick's mind. Excessive PMO leads to desensitization and erectile dysfunction. I am talking from a 10 year addiction to this stuff. I had 0 interest in girls, since there is nothing/nobody that could have beaten PMO's high dopamine reward. Before even learning about Nofap I was a shy, low self-esteem kid who was scared to look people(strangers and especially women) in the eye or talk to them.

A good book to read about this is "Your Brain on Porn" by Gary Wilson.

@StarStruck everyone can have their own unique vices.

For example, coffee and modafinil may have a negative effect on your mind idk, but I use these things still.

The important thing is to let go of pmo because you've made the decision for yourself, not just because of the facts.

True. It is not the thing but your relationship to the thing. For PMO was an escape. A lot of years were wasted while I could have used those years to date women and grow.

Lol, so true.

I tried NoFap and notice that for me has diminishing returns on the 20th day above. It's a matter of experiment and doesn't become obsessed with it. First things first: order your life and purpose through self-inquiry and your selected tools.  Also, be aware if you think masturbation it's an addiction for you since it could be a symptom of anything else in your life. You just only know, just don't fall into the temptation on measure your life progress on your NoFap 'marks'. If you get benefits from it, good, your tool.

Watching porn is another topic since there is some research about the consequences of that into your brain. I guess the same happens with Instagram and TikTok and all of these quickly dopamine-rewards systems. The question to ask will be why do we get stuck on these apps and habits?

Your semen will be expelled from your body within a week or two if you don't ejaculate it out. It will come out in your urine.

Basically if you don't jerk off then it will most likely get released in a wet dream, in a healthy amount, naturally, in order to renew the semen in your sack.

What's truly unnatural is you not busting your nuts for years. And it's almost certainly bad for your health.

Sorry but this is just not true. Be honest and admit you haven't done much research on this topic. People have done nofap for a few years and have gotten amazing results and feel way better and healthy. The whole idea of getting cancer from it is stupid and not true. Besides, jerking off will (for most people) make you tired, more fatigued, more brain fog, harder to enjoy the simpler things in life. I mean, jerking off high-jacks your dopamine and that makes it hard to enjoy simple things as nature, meditation, a smile from a person.

But like you said, if you have a higher purpose in life which you're more focused on, then I guess masturbation won't affect that much  and you'll quickly ground yourself back in your mission, making masturbation just a "small enjoyment" on the side.

However, not many people are where you're at, and masturbation will be an outlet very easy to access, and then stay at their lower selves.

You still must be feeling not at your highest.

Regarding what someone said about you making a video about porn/masturbation, and about my thread I had before where I tried to understand your approach to it - I think it could be a great idea to talk about it in a video on YouTube or a blog since I think many people are confused about your takes on it and it will help clarify things. Just my thought

@PBen534 Nofap is a strange roller-coaster. Diminishing returns do happen, but don't think it will be forever. It is a strange graph. You have ups and downs, exponential growths and diminishing returns. However, over the long term everything is going uphill. It's quite amazing. I had a period when I had a flatline for like 2 weeks of unbearable emotional pain and depression (I was also physically very sick), but after that I just felt so amazing. It just started growing exponentially.

So the unhealthy part is really a matter of; if the masturbation comes from ego or not...

Yes, it makes little difference to me.

You guys here have a basic problem with being able to enjoy a thing in moderation.

It is a characteristic of the wise to be able to partake in an addictive thing with moderation without getting addicted.

If you were truly balanced, you would be able to do a shot of heroin and go about your day without attachment.

The fact that you think and struggle about porn and no-fap so much already betrays your attachment to it, if only in your mind.

If the mere sight of some porn causes you to go into a tailspin, how conscious and developed are you, really? You're fragile as an icicle.

And if me talking about enjoying some porn disturbs your mind and makes you all judgmental, you're even more fragile than that.
