Does MMA exist in a society operating at its highest potential?

Ofc it would. God loves fighting which we can see through history. If fighting was ‘bad’ it wouldn’t exist

Interesting question. I doubt a highly conscious society would even find MMA entertaining.

There are guys in Germany that fight with swords and no body armor.

It's too much to post here but you can find it on youtube.

Watch that and you'll feel the same as people will feel in the future when they see mma.

Well for starters, what exactly is a society operating at its highest potential? Lol.

A bit of a loaded question but to give an answer, fighting isn’t going anywhere.

As long as there are people who appreciate and want to see the great feats of athleticism that professional MMA fighters perform then there will be a place for it in our society.

Trying to “transcend” our desire to fight/dominate each other is about as futile as trying to transcend our desires to have sex and eat. It’s too primal. We exist as flesh suits.

If mankind learns to transcend the primal desires of this flesh suit then perhaps we’ll transcend physically combating each other but then again, will we even be “mankind” at that point?

It's hard to say, the real question is what is a society operating at its highest potential

and then the next question is how much of that society would be enlightened

cos hypothetically speaking if 100% of society was awake, it'd be interesting to see how more mundane jobs would be distributed, or what would happen to jobs like plumbers/electricians

i'd imagine there'd still be people with a passion for jobs in those areas, but who's really to say? and if there wasn't, then enlightened people would have to distribute those jobs themselves in order for society to operate

@Regan first enlightenment, then the laundry.

I imagine you’re right though. There likely would still be people passionate about these jobs.

Imagine how much more pleasant the world would be if all our our plumbers, electricians, dentists, janitors, etc were all enlightened.

Competition itself loses its appeal with advancing consciousness.

I think MMA would absolutely exist or martial arts in general would absolutely exist. They would exist in a society operating at it's highest potential! It's professional athletics or a professional sport.

Athletics will always exist in all forms in the highest-developed societies! Being an athlete is something fundamental to your Life Purpose, even. Mastering something by lots of practice and repetition, discipline, focus, growth, sucking initially and getting better at it. These are high-consciousness values that professional athleticism is fundamentally based on and it is core to human beings. Which is why 'finding your game' is crucial to finding your Life Purpose. If it's MMA, it's MMA!

Edit - Relative to athletes and sports, an important thing to add is that 'Play' or 'Game' is a very core, fundamental facet of The Absolute. This is why it can be a high-consciousness value for world-class MMA-fighters or world-class athletes in general! Especially the world-champions.

Great Response, +1

Professional Sport = Play at its highest levels, it isn't simply just 'Ego.' Of course Sport as a whole will evolve as society evolves.
