How the fuck do I start

6 posts in this topic

Full disclosure, I have known about actualized.org since December or so and I haven't been doing any of the work. I've watched hours of Leo's videos and watched other content creators listed here on this form (mostly ones pertaining to pick up because I'm a horny teenager lol). But, I've finished my final exams for high school now and have abundant time because I don't have any friends.

My problem is there's so many areas I can focus on, it's paralyzing. I would like to focus on my career and be confident with woman, first. Don't get me wrong I'm definitely heavy into spirituality, but I feel like I got to worry first about being able to sustain a living. Are there any meditations, journaling, or other work that I can do to become more clear? I feel like I'm pretty solid on the theory part as of now.

Maybe the life purpose course, or awareness exercises? I want to be able to go to college in the fall and make it my bitch.

Maybe wait on college till you're sure it's what you want.  Have you watched Leo's "Should you Go to College" video?  Might help clarify your values.

I'd recommend taking the LP course.  It's inexpensive and has lots of stuff in it (maybe too much since I find too much theory can be paralyzing).

Maybe take some time off to get clear about what you want in life and as a life purpose and then being more strategic and patient with how you structure your life going into career out of high school.  You can probably set a good trajectory for yourself if you do it right (i.e., take the time to get clear on what you want -> which might even entail experimenting with different jobs and projects or even traveling and experiencing more of the world, and then taking time to develop a wise strategy to get there).

Often whatever "awareness exercise" you naturally feel like doing is what can move you the most at the moment, because you will be doing it with the most passion. You feel like journaling, or meditation, or drawing, or climbing up a mountain? Start there.

Journaling is definitely a great thing to do, if you feel the urge to write. I've done it semi-regularly for years, just to get some thoughts and feelings "out of the system", and it helped my self-awareness. You can't go beyond concepts, as you can with meditation, but you can sort out a lot of your daily hickups.

If you have time, definitely do go for the life-purpose course as well. To choose a career, you need vision&experience. The course is about seeking a vision, the experience part, you'll have to do real-life :)  What are you doing during your summer?

If you're starting college, that will be a major change in your life, which will give you many opportunities for growth that you don't need to actively look for. You'll have to study more intensely, you'll socialize with new people, and if you're living away from your parents for the first time, you'll also have to learn how to cook and take care of yourself. During the exam period, maintaining healthy habits even under pressure is a major challenge. I'd say just make sure this is a path you want, and then just live through it - don't worry whether you're doing enough of "the work", because unless you are drowning your days in alcohol and porn, you are.

What is it you are actually asking? Seems like you want knowledge, wisdom, career, relationship, and spirituality with a clear direction on how to obtain them all at once.
