Does unregulated cannabis contain heavy metals & pesticides?

29 posts in this topic

Obviously medical grade cannabis is safe as it has to be... But would illicit cannabis likely contain pesticides & heavy metals?

Is there a way to be able to tell t when you buy by looking at trichomes ect..

I dunno shit I just wish they legalized it it's so racist how it is still illegal

If it tastes like shit then it probably is. They could also add other things inside that make you even more addicted and you have no idea what you are smoking. Either find good quality that tends to be more expensive or don't smoke at all.

When seen under the microscope some of the industrialization/vilification shows up in a most obvious manner IMHO.

Believe me if you dare, it's still about systemic racism even after.

If it has hints of disrespect then yeah, probably vilified as fuck.

Additional hint, easily accessible as graphic index:

It very much depends where you buy it from, but I'm not denying anything.

It can contain whatever, that's why I'm so mesmerized at the fact that those higher up don't understand that more harm is done without legalization.

Decriminalization is in many ways legalization without regulation (yes, I'm simplifying it, but it's still pretty stupid).

If people are growing it themselves non-legally, they can use whatever they want.  The stuff they sell you doesn't even have to be pure cannabis.

I'd be more worried they might be selling you something else. Or some untested research variant of THC

Then again, inhaling any form of burnt vegetable material will inevitably cause health problems. And before you tell me "oh but edibles aren't bad for your lungs", please show me a stoner who only uses edibles. You can't ?

I only use edibles and don't smoke.

Although I wouldn't consider myself a stoner :P

Exactly :D People who consume it frequently enough to worry about pesticides are virtually in all cases smoking it, atleast from time to time.

Frankly pesticides are the last of your worries if you are a cannabis user, I'd be more worried about all those oxidative particles from carbon combustion making their way to your body + the addictive nature of cannabis + the fact that in most cases weed is being used as green pharmacy solution (e.g. can't sleep need weed, can't relax need weed..)

You mean oxidative particle caused by heating?

I mean the burning of the plant itself along with the paper whenever a joint is smoked. It is a plant but burning of organic matter produces free radical residue and that puts strain of our antioxidant reserves. Probably not an issue if you do 1-2 joints a week but can become irritative if few joints are smoked daily.
