What's the point of meditating if you are Enlightened?

Of course not.

Can you elaborate ? :)

An enlightened person can just sit somewhere and enjoy simply being, no ? You wouldn't call it meditation ?

@knakoo

There is no enlightened person. Everything happens in you, experienced by you, made out of you. You are Meditation. ?

True, but only from the Ultimate perspective. Just because a soul is on a journey of Self-discovery doesn't make it less real. It is only relatively real, but it is still real. It is an expression of, and therefore still a part of, God.

Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.

@Moksha

It's real, but it's not a part. ???

Funny, a 'part' backwards is a 'trap'.

Enlightened people cannot meditate, since no such entity exists. Meditation is fun.

But there is no unenlightened person either ! So there is no such thing as meditation with that line of reasoning :)

@knakoo exactly ?

It's the actual experience. Relax attention on attention as often as possible to see it. ?

Nice catch! And perfectly apt. Consciousness "traps" itself, in order to experience phenomena. If there was no trap, there would only be changeless, ultimate reality, devoid of sensory experience. It is all Consciousness, in different states of awareness, intentionally.

Yes, as all is love said, there are no enlightened people. That which is ‘just sitting and enjoying’ is being, or if it helps communicatively...Being.

And yes, exactly. There is no “unenlightened person” either.

“People” and or “person” is only a thought, regardless of the changes in context.

One never experiences a “person”. Ever.

One has to believe one is an “enlightened person”...to believe there are “unenlightened people”.

Most confusion with this is in the misunderstanding of what experience is, or, what is experienced in the apparent sense.

The ‘point’ of meditation is allowing the activity of mind to settle.

What is the point of living if you're alive?

Intrinsic joy is revealed in the marriage of meaning and being.

If I ask if I should participate in a yoga practice I feel like a third of this forum would respond with:  "there is no person to do yoga."  While true, it doesn't really answer the question.

I agree. We want to explore and enjoy life within a dream and we want relative answers too. I already knew i dont exist why do they keep answering completely different question??:D

Enlightenment is the recognition of your true nature. That is the easy part

Enlightened people keep doing embodiment work.

Some may choose to meditate, not as a practice born out of a desire to seek something, just out of joy, resting in being.

All of them work to live the understanding through all experience.

Embodiment is a lifelong journey.

And the further you go in your work, the more magical experience becomes.
