Do things happen for a reason?

I don't know if by "reason" you mean a pre-planned purpose or intelligent design. It seems like there is no such thing. But there is certainly "cause" to everything (apparently). So there is cause and effect.

@BlackMaze

Nothing’s happening. “Things” is a thought.

Thought is Nothing.

Go ahead and check.

Which ponders survival and life only for keeping that "thing" alive.... Well do the math. ?

Nothing nihilistic regarding spirituality.

There is no coincidence in the Universe. Everything is by Design. I feel.

Is there a plan?

A few days ago, I came across this Law of One theory.

I don't have much to say about it as I haven't looked into it properly, but basically, this theory explains the plan of the universe, where we're going as a species and what role as individuals we play...

Who is it that decides what view of what is happening is the right one?

The how is what you build, the why is in your heart.

Everything happens for a reason, but rarely for the reason you think. Your ways are higher than your ways.

Just because God loves you doesn't mean it is going to shape the cosmos to suit you. God loves you so much that it will shape you to suit the cosmos.

I? But i have no idea how to find the right view or if i ever will be right. Even if i contemplate this for years maybe it's not possible to find the right answer. Or maybe it doesn't matter. I don't know how to approach this kind of questions. Is contemplation and meditation the only things i should be doing?

Contemplation, meditation, self inquiry, healthy lifestyle, psychedelics. There are many things you can do.

it depends on what perspective you take and how broad it is. On the broadest level everything happens for a reason so to speak, finding your way back home. If you narrow it down, you could say it's just a random experience. relatively speaking a lot of stuff just happens due to cause and effect and isn't worth over analyzing. from the absolute it is all a miracle and a sign.

@BlackMaze

Yep it is you.

Who says what is the right view?
What is is what is, not a perspective about it.

All views about what is going on is just that, a view, a perspective. The only reason to have a perspective is reasons, reasons are made up by some self trying to do something, all reasons are relative to some percived intention that relates to some story about why this thing need to be done.

No reason for Reality, it just is, it doesn't need a reason, it just is.
Why would God need a reason to do anything? Why would God need to do anything to be Reality?
It is.

Meditation and contemplation are a good ideas to try to understand this. Question and observe yourself making up reasons to do things.
