Is Vaccine Passport a crime against humanity? (No Vaccine is not Selfish)

50 posts in this topic

1 year ago conspiracy theorists were told to put on a tinfoil hat when they said vaccination pass is incoming.

I know 9 people who got what is believed to be Covid. After 3 days they feel better and one week everything is normal. The immune system is enough. Instead of saying I have covid, they might as well say: I have a fever.

The media pumps out fear to hijack people's consciousness so they become receptive to whatever bullshit they want to implant. I am a Copywriter and to be an effective one you must trigger human emotions, where fear is one of the strongest ones, to sell effectively.

And I read a post here that not taking a needle to your vein is selfish. How is that selfish?

What if you cause a minor car accident and the other party only gets hurt? Would it be selfish for me to not drive straight into a wall so that I also have an accident?

You might say getting a vaccine prevents the spread of the virus. We might as well burn all the physical cash because there are bacteria circulating on dollar bills. Don't be surprised if they actually decide to get rid of all physical cash in the future and blame it on Covid.

So many people are asleep. Just look at these Tiktok girls smearing their face with makeup and shaking their ass unknowingly that their mind is hijacked. And not to mention these chimpanzees who follow them and worship their butt. I am a firm believer that porn rotten your brain and the way you view women. So many people worship ass these days. People think the government wants the best for the people. If the government told that eating shit will cure covid, some people will microwave their own feces and eat it with a glass of wine without hesitation.

Conspiracy theorist here and there. How about stop watching CNN or whatever people watch, and instead; read books and research ancient civilizations. By doing so you might stumble upon some interesting stuff that will raise questions about today's society and how it is structured.

A Vaxxpass is so inhuman it can get. Do you want a social reward system also before you notice how twisted this is? Maybe a yellow emoji star next to your credentials to prove that you behaved in society.

Call us crazy conspiracy theorists, incels, or whatever to make you feel better and safer in the reality we live in.

Do that while you stand in line to get the shot and don't forget to pat yourself on the back and pretend you did something for humanity.

I doubt they will make a ‘vaccine passport’ however, places/countries may choose to reject unvaccinated people.  Depends what country you’re living in or wanting to travel to.

@Skenderberg

The issue is way more complicated than you are making it. Your bias and cynicism is obvious.

There are nuanced arguments to be made against the measures being taken to prevent Covid, but this ain't it.

The mixing of news with entertainment began with the advent of cable TV.  Now, news is primarily to generate the emotions of fear and anger, in order to attract the maximum eyeballs for advertisement.  Furthermore, the news is centrally controlled by a handful of organizations.  So, there is no longer a trusted source of information.   On the other extreme, anyone with a creative imagination can generate a conspiracy theory, so this isn’t reliable either.  It amazes me that the during the American Revolution, the population received reliable information using letters carried by horses.   There was actually less confusion.  This is a good example of how technology makes things worse, and not better.

Children already have vaccine "passports". It's called school. You can't go to school without proper vaccine. Boo-hoo. That's the cost of moving around in a herd.

If you want to fly around it is not too much to ask that you get a vaccine from a mutating pandemic that already killed millions.

You libertarian types are too paranoid. No one is gonna control you with a vaccine. It's just basic public health and it costs you little to comply. Vaccine is far safer than covid so you'd be a fool not to take it. And it costs so little.

From what I understand these new vaccines do not contain mercury, so your case against them drops to nill.

Your framing has aspects of truth, yet it is hyper biased and lacks any nuance.

Of course not everyone with covid will end up in the hospital. Younger people, in general have stronger resistance to covid. Yet look at how you are extrapolating. You are using a tiny sample size of 9 and extrapolating that covid is just a regular fever. Most of those 9 people, were likely younger than 50 without any pre-existing conditions.

At the other extreme, what if we went into an old folks home and 7 of 9 elderly people who got covid died. Would you be ok saying “Covid is deadly and kills 75% of people it infects!!”?

Fear is certainly an issue and media may be over-playing fear. Yet I would say in another context, not enough fear is present. In my area, many people think covid is just a fever, so they won’t wear masks or socially distance. This is causing problems at the social level. They are spreading the virus and hospital beds filled up and a lot of people got seriously ill.

For people that believe covid is just a fever and don’t wear masks / socially distance, we need to inject more fear into them. For people that refuse to acknowledge that covid is more than a fever, fear can be used to change their behavior that covid is more serious than they think. That is partially what the media is doing. At times they overplay the seriousness in an effort change the behavior of those underplaying the seriousness. This can have value in changing the behavior of covid deniers, yet the downside is that overplaying seriousness will instill too much fear in people that already understand how serious it is. As well, there can be too much focus on the harmful impact of the virus and not enough focus on the harmful impacts of lockdowns.

Regarding the seriousness of covid, from an epidemiology perspective there is an argument that the coronavirus is the worst virus in human history. The coronavirus has an dangerous combination of Ro (contagion), illness severity and mutation rate.

Because you are focusing on the level of self and not at the level of society.

This framing assumes that spreading the virus to others is always an “accident” and the vaccine is equally harmful to the coronavirus.

Another way to frame it: why shouldn’t I be allowed to drive drunk?

This over-reaction assumes that society will disregard science and reason. A viral pandemic is completely different than bacteria on cash.

However, further research could indicate that bacteria spread through handling cash increases illnesses by 20%. If we can decrease human illness by 20% by transitioning to mostly digital currency, why not do it? It’s similar to seat belts. If seat belts reduce car injuries and deaths by 20%, why not add seat belts to cars?

Advising people to wash their hands and wear a mask to protect themselves against covid is very different than advising people to microwave their feces and eat it to protect themselves from covid.

I agree that government can over-reach for greater control - yet you are also downplaying covid because you think it is “just a fever”. I wouldn’t say requiring a vaccination for airline travel is unreasonable (for now). Yet I also think there should be exemptions. For example, the small amount of people at risk for vaccines.

@Skenderberg 'Vaccine passports' have pretty much been around for decades now. There any many countries where you have to provide evidence of having had a particular vaccine before being able to travel (hepatitis B, meningitis vaccines etc).

@Forestluv You have misunderstood completely. Some people do whatever the government tells them. Remember when Trump said to inject disinfectant as a treatment? I bet you think your vote matters in Murica.

one of them is 83 years old. Wonder why he still stands, maybe because he has a strong immune system and never touched alcohol in his entire life. Maybe we should let the whole world get covid and let the weak die out?

There is a whole world outside America. Believe it or not. Here in Sweden for example you don't have to take any vaccine (not even for Covid) and can still be part of society just fine. And aren't they in a sense controlling you with a vaccine by limiting your freedom to travel for example? This is so subtle and hard to notice what's really happening here.

God damnit it's like dealing with children in a daycare except it's fully grown adults who can vote.......... just take the vaccine. No they don't cause autism, you can't catch something you already have. You are gonna be fine.

But dude, don't you care about your community?

Don't you recognize the nuanced conditions that people have that makes them more likely to die?

What about the long-term effects that some people face?

What about the individuals young and old who don't overcome the symptoms in three days?

I understood you. Your point is that some people will do whatever the government tells them. Yet that doesn't equate good advice to protect one's health to absurd advice that would damage one's health. The problem with equating the two is it creates a hyper libertarian mindset that the government is bad and can't be trusted on anything.

Believing that everything the government says is false is just as delusional as believing everything the government says is true.

The problem is if somebody lies to you once, then what procedure do you use to determine whether what they are saying is true, that is better than flipping a coin?   I still remember when Colin Powell gave his presentation in front of the UN presenting the “evidence” that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction.  The evidence was presented with many details, photos and maps.  The very few people who questioned this were called fools.  The media went along with the story 100 percent.

you sound like some poorly written anime villain. it's fine to ponder this idea but in reality you would be screaming and freaking out if we behaved as a collective majority like this.

Heavy metals do seem to cause autism in young children. But these new vaccines don't have heavy metals from what I've read and as an adult with a fully developed brain and body your situation is very different than that of young children. And you must weigh against the risk of the disease the vaccine protects you from. And you can chelate heavy metals fairly easily so it is not a permanent thing.

So the case against covid vaccines for adults is not good. And they haven't even approved covid vaccines for kids yet.

@Leo Gura This pandemic will take longer than expected. South Africa confirmed that the UK’s vaccine does not work against it’s variant. And since the virus will keep mutating, there’s no end in sight.

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie
