Biden ends U.S. support for Saudi Arabia in Yemen, says war 'has to end'

23 posts in this topic

I know that I will be getting backlash, but this is a pendulum swing to the other end, and what's going to happen is that Huthis (Iranian Backed Militias) who were getting hammered by Saudi-American coalition, they will now breath and be able to rebuilt themselves and gain power again.

Why do sick Biden feels they should support inferior Iran and its allies in the region, while they are operating on lower stages of development, and then why do they give up supporting Saudi Arabia while they have proved they are capable to integrate with the world and its capitalist system. This way, it seems that America is biting itself in the ass, giving up on those who are capable to elevate themselves, and favoring those stage red-purple folks who are ready to reek havoc in the world and turn themselves into terrorist organization, seeking for themselves world domination!

Let me tell you, with Trump, here in Iraq we had probably the best years in 20 years. This all has to go soon when Iran is empowered and ready to be unleashed again to continue their efforts to dominate the region and blackmail and terrorize its nations and governments.

I think while both SA and Iran are mostly red/blue, Iran has more orange in it.

Check this out:

'A 2020 Online Survey by Gamaan found that 8.8% Iranians identifying as Atheist and a large fraction (22.2%) identifying as not following an organized religion and only 40% self identified as Muslims.' Also Iran has a huge transgender community.

"As of 2008, Iran carries out more sex change operations than any other nation in the world except Thailand. The government provides up to half the cost for those needing financial assistance, and a sex change is recognized on the birth certificate"

Saudi Arabia doesn't come close in such regard. Their most recent progress in the area of human rights was allowing women to drive lol

Maybe we even witness some sort of transition of Iran towards embracing orange values in the next 40-50 years.  It's only natural that USA would stop supporting SA at some point. Plus how on Earth would anyone trust Saudis after Assassination of Jamal Khashoggi?

@Porphyry Fedotov

Interesting statistics, but if you talk about the governments officials, we have the Saudi prince MBS who\s bringing Mariah Carey to his country, while The Iranian Murshid is threatening terrorist drone attacks on golfer Trump.

Saudi system is deeply integrated in stage-orange. and they run one of the most's top companies, while Iranian regime wants to dominate the world through stolen nuclear technology.

America is allowed to choose who they withdraw support from.

If this is good news for Iran, it's not America's fault.

How long will America keep giving aid to the Middle East zone. It seems like an impracticable solution.

Much of the conflict in the middle east is expected because these themselves have created destabilization through constant war and no interest in peace.

At some point, it is these countries that need to do something on their own.

They need to radically change the war mentality.

The same situation exists between India and Pakistan. Until countries understand that war is disaster, nobody can help

Let's take a country like Iceland. It's not involved in war. Therefore it will show steady growth.

Much of our consequence is our own karma.

Blaming other countries is fruitless.

Nobody destroys your country's growth more than your own country.

America cannot blame Europe for its racial tension issue..

Much of the problem that any country has is created by that country alone.

If my family is creating issues, there is no use in blaming my neighborhood.

It's like that.

@Preety_India

Indeed it id Amer'ca's responsibility. America has protected the whole "western hemisphere", and enabled science, and inventions like nuclear technoloties which Iran wants to obtain. America has enabled the growth of Medical science which made the pupulation numbers explode. America should has a plan to work on sorting out the situation, because guess what, it is only a matter of time until the area descend in chaos again and more massacars happens, and then a republican comes to the white house and tries to make use of the situation again in order to make gains for military industry.

While a silly democrate president is just withidrawing saying it is not our problem, people like him ARE enabiling what comes next. It is people like Barack Obama who just lifted his hands completely has enabled ISIS.

It is such a shame that America didn't tackle the problem of capitalism on its home, but leaves stable governments like Saudi Arbia's to be an easy prey for ruthless regime of Iran, officially led by a great moralist who in his name integrated that he's "The Miracle Of God" Which is the litteral translation for "Ayat O Allah" The Iranian supreme leader. Such a shame..

@Mesopotamian  actually America has its own problems that are growing rapidly.

America will hardly have the money to deal with its own problems let alone other countries.

What you see now is the real bad face of Stage Red.

Suddenly someone like Trump brings out the unhealthy stage Red.

People need to realize that an unhealthy stage Red can annihilate humanity by taking away democracy.

In such a situation a Blue and Green combo is a healing balm.

These are the times when we're reminded how important Stage Blue and Stage Green really in the context of world peace.

A lot of people take stage Blue and Stage Green for granted.

They are actually the foundational stages for any growth to occur in a deeply chaotic distorted stage Red planet.

This is Mariah Carey in Saudi Arabia, the house of Islam, they are showing signs of integration to the rest of the world

Yet When America withdraw supports, they are enabiling Khameni, the greatist moralists who chants death to America!

It works for us, what's more important than keeping stage red-purple Iran in check? I see biden for he will contribute unleadshing the monster by lifting his hand.

I am glad that Trump has established a red line, that's no attacks on embassy that goes without punishment, and in doing so he's standing and empowering international laws, while people like Obama and likely Biden won't care, they are OK even with ambassadors killed like what happened in Libya. Such a shame.

People needs to realize that unless all nations progress on the same pace, then it is no use that America abides by climate treaties while Islamic countries and Chinah produce doubles the amounts America produces of CO2 and other nasty stuff.

People needs to realize that spreading democracy is the way to go, the way Bush did it in Iraq. It is such a counter intuitive, but wait until Iran has a nuclear weapon and annihilate Israel with it.

Saudi Arabia right now is tortured between stage-orange greed (those who want weapon deals) and stage-green idiocy (Biden leaving them alone an easy prey to Iran)

Saudi Arabia is like: Hey America, We want to be like you, we love capitalism, we have palaces, and Rolls Royces

America is Like: We HATE that we, ourselves are adopting capitalism because we can see its flaws better than you do, and this is why we feel OK that the Moralist stage-red, and purple Iranian regime are going to slay your throat!

@Mesopotamian Has the fact that Saudi Arabia is committing an inhuman war against the Yemeni people ever factored into this for you?

Noy much difference than the "inhumane" war on Iraqi people. It is done in the name of capitalism, by a regime directly supported by the US. What will happen to the Saudi people when they became a prey for Iran and its unlimited supply of jihadist ?

Yeah, a good portion of Iranians is orange and actually quite modern. The problem is that these are not the people in power. The people in power are stage blue Islamic puritans who brutalize and repress the "more advanced" portion of the population.

Also, Saudi Arabian leadership deserves credit for lifting a purple-red bedouin population to a mostly stage blue civilization. They steered clear from the Saddam and Qadaffi warlord like pitfalls. The royal house has actually a lot of orange in them and is engaged in a power struggle with the extremist religious authoreties. It's necessary to realize that the royal house must take into account a very conservative population and a radical religious police when making reform. If SA loses stability that will be an absolute disaster, not the least for their development as a nation.

@Vrubel Saudi Arabia has the most backwards leadership, they actually encouraged the removal of Saddam and Ghadaffi

What Democracy? Only more instability.

My personal foreign policy prescription is to remove all American soldiers and just hand the place to Iran and Russia. America has interfered with ‘democracy’ and has only lead to ruin.

I see you’re a fan of Spiral Dynamics, well... Don Beck spoke specifically on foreign policy and against America imposing democracy on a people who didn’t want it.
If a society has a leader like Saddam or Ghadaffi, than that’s just were they’re at, do you seriously believe that America has the right to just ‘install’ leadership?

Again, personal foreign policy prescription: Slash America’s military budget by 70% and leave the Middle East.

I think here you're mixing the map with the territory. I came to conclusion that Spiral Dynamics only gives a view of how the ideal process of development should look like.

But let's contemplate the following issue: Can you deny that each man in power wants to take the whole world to a new stage of developement wheneveer it is possible?

Maybe the world needs to be dragged up at a particular certain pace, I mean after all, this is how it is going to be at the end. The world needs to become one.

Maybe Amazonian tribes hiding within the bush should be left alone for now, but those who are Iraqis are already being dragged the very exact moment that you introduced technology to them. Cars, vaccines, medics, television, internet. They are already part of the new world order that's based on science and technology. AND (and this is important): THEY SHOUOLD BEHAVE ACCORDINGLY OR DIE.

I think you are being a devil when you are trying to create a duality between Iraqis and the rest of the world, cause in reality, it doesn't exist! Jus because some theory says that in an ideal world, people are going to develop well if the condition around them are XYZ.., It doesn't mean that this is how reality *should* function.
