Last night AOC went on IG live to talk about the day of the insurrection and how she thought she was going to die.

She confessed she is a sexual assault survivor and how her abuser also told her to just “move on” She mentions how after the attack republicans keep using the language and gaslighting techniches of abusers.

the message republicans are sending right now is triggering for me because it reminds me of an abusive husband saying “don’t call the cops think about the children”. That’s republicans saying “no trial.. let’s move on and heal”. It’s all lies and manipulation. They don’t care about healing because they were the ones perpetrating the wound.

@Husseinisdoingfine me too. She is a star on the horizon of change. I wish she doesn't end up getting assassinated because many people have given her death threats and she is the number one public Enemy for certain groups of people who have kept her on the target list. 

I admire her bravery in the midst of death threats.

I don't understand this position given how she tends to make baseless accusations against Republican senators ( eg the "attempted murder" charge against Ted Cruz ) not to mention her blatant endorsement of Black Lives Matter ( its jokingly called the Burn, Loot and Murder movement for a reason ).

As to the sexual assault charge, saying you are sexually assaulted does not mean you are sexually assaulted unless there is solid proof and said proof is validated in a court of law, something that seems to be ignored by AOC here.

Just be careful on glorifying her as a messiah and be truly critical. Latching to her and adopting her as a new part of your ego is very unconscious at the end of the day. 

Be observant of what she says and what she does so we don't end up with things like Biden promising $2,000 stimulus checks on the first week and not deliveri... oh, wait, it happened already...

As you can see (really just a tiny example), just another case of populism to pacify the masses. Better than Trump if you will, but we always deserve better. Don't get stuck on green.

Dude, Biden is a centrist Democrat. He’s not nearly to the left as much as someone like AOC, Warren, and Sanders are. 

Also, the Trump administration has many of the most unqualified people for the specific positions they were given. How about Mark Meadows? That moron only has an associates degree and his views on the world are so backwards. Yet he was picked to be Trump’s chief of staff?!

That seems like a good analogy to me. Some of MAGA go one level lower and say "They had it coming". 

The problem is that an abuser that faces no accountability will do it again and perhaps worse.
