@Michael569 Thanks. I'm receiving therapy and also seeing a shaman for healing, no idea if it will help but I've got nothing to lose. I'm also getting a full blood test next week including Vit D, thyroid and other stuff recommended by my doctor as I'm also overweight (my diet is pretty healthy but I don't exercise much). I am vegetarian but I'm going to start incorporating fish into my diet.

@Tal Thanks. I have been taking Omega-3 2000mg for around a year now, along with Vitamin D. I will watch the video.

Hope none of this will come as a form of judgement but if you could get this under control, you would probably see an improvement in your mood. I've been researching topic of brain health a lot recently for my blog and basically being overweight may trigger certain chemicals in brain that slump your mood and it also slows down brain regeneration and plasticity (this is essential for prevention of depression) . + exercise boosts overall mood so you'd kill 2 flies with one stone. :) Walking daily for an hour would be a great start.

Good luck!

@Michael569 @Michael569 You're right. Walking would be good as it's one form of exercise I do enjoy. If you don't mind me asking, what is your take on SSRI's?

@Ensho It will take time but you will get better. It usually lasts about 1,5 years

I was sleeping a lot during that time (you can try melatonin if you have trouble falling asleep), SSRI/SNRI's are helpful for decreasing suffering as you wait, psychotherapy can be a good cope too

Something that you may take sometimes ad hoc is Curcumin supplement, it lowers inflammation comparable to some NSAID's and when you're really depressed inflammation is significantly higher. Curcumin was the only supplement that made some difference for me

Since I'm not a medical doctor I can't really give an objective position on antidepressants. They are essential for people with suicidal depression as they reduce risk of suicide and they help people feel more stable and grounded. I think in that case SSRIs are great but I think they should be used to look for the real root cause and deal with that while the SSRIs are keeping the depression at bay. I got a few sources on my blog you may find something helpful in there. Finished the latest post just now. Also, some guys on this forum focus on spirituality and consciousness coaching maybe you could reach out to some of our members to help you :) ( @Nahm, @Emerald, @mandyjw, @aurum) - hope you guys don't mind me quoting you.

@Enlightenment I'm sleeping a lot too, I look forward to sleep every day just to escape my reality. I am currently taking turmeric, is that the same thing as curcumin?

There is about 2% Curcumin in Turmeric powder. Yes, Turmeric works too but you have to eat quite a bit of it and if you eat too much, you may get a stomachache

@Enlightenment I'll get some curcumin then, just found out that my supplement is turmeric only.

@aurum hey, I appreciate if you do have any pointers, it feels like I'm going deeper and deeper into ego and delusional thinking, it's very scary, feels like I can't stop it. In the past I would go to feelings of love to overcome it but I feel nothing, just pain/emptiness.

@Ensho

In one ninety minute session the trajectory of your entire life changes as you begin to fill with your being, and reality makes more sense with every passing day there after. Through text online, 99% of the communication doesn’t make it through.

Awareness is aware of: feeling, perception, and thought.

Avoiding & suppressing feeling over does thinking.

Awareness experiences a warping of thought & perception.

The solution is understanding, which automatically happens upon recognizing misunderstanding, misinterpretation, and misidentification.

This is a very fun thing to do. But through text it’s whatever you’re making of it.

The intention of my website (below) is an ongoing sharing of what I learn, and attempt to share online, with the lofty aim of bringing that 99% down to 98.9%. ??

Hey, if you ever go to a psychiatrist, ask him if you can take bupropion. This medication has been very effective for me.

Contrary to other antidepressants, it doesn't give you sexual problems and it also tends to decrease one's appettite (it's not recommended for people who have anorexia, for example).

This medication is commonly prescribed to people who have been experiencing lack of volition, which is just a fancy word for will power.

How's the therapy going?
