Thoughts on Chronic Fatigue and Headache

18 posts in this topic

Hey Everybody,

I am 20 years old, sporty and would say on a pretty good diet and I would say emotionally stable, so no depressions or something, however here and there a feeling of not being good enough. Anyways I have a chronic fatigue and headaches since nearly 1 and a half year now. And I tried nearly everything and every kinda doctor in that time. So far nothing worked. I wonder if anybody experienced something similar and has some thoughts on it? And since maybe 3 Month I worked more on the spiritual and emotional side of healing. So learning to accept the disease more and working with affirmations and visualizations. I even tried energy healing which the logical side in me somehow resists a bit. Anyways I am at this point open to anything, so if you have suggestions, I would love to hear them:)

Do you drink coffee? If yes try to stop for a week to see if something changes. Or maybe this is a sleep issue maybe try to optimize sleep.

@Joelvs hard to say without knowing more about what you do day-to-day. But generally, I'd start with few points

* make sure you are eating enough - maybe consider tracking your food intake for 3 days in cronometer, perhaps you are undereating
* making sure you get daily exposure to daylight especially early in the morning
* What does your diet look like in a bit more detail?
* is it possible you are pushing yourself too much in any area of your life?(e.g. athleticism, aiming for shredded body, avoiding certain foods to look a certain way, pushing hard for academic goals etc..)
* have you ever been struck down by a hard infection in the past?
* do you have a history of high levels of stress? Maybe as a kid living in stressful place?
* have you seen yourself react negatively to some food?
* history of excessive use of pharmaceuticals?

@neutralempty

@Michael569

So I seem to be having a histamin intolerance so I avoid eating lots of histamin but I am doing that since nearly a month now and nothing changed. Besides that I am eating mostly unprocessed food and a lot of different vegetables. I will typically eat a porridge with oatmilk and some fruits in the morning. Then later that day some ricewaffles with some vegetable paste and some carrots for example and in the evening I will eat maybe rice with a vegetable curry. And I did had a parasit nearly at the time that the fatigue started. So that might have been the trigger. However I dont have it anymore. And to the rest of your points @Michael569 I would deny them. Could be stress off course but I also had it when I was for 2 month in a monastery

@Joelvs add some protein. If you eat vegan really eat enough tofu or add a protein shake or something. As a vegan it was really hard for me to get enough. Definitely eating more protein and more in general helped me overcome the fatigue.

Histamin Intolerance is something I call "postponing diagnosis" it is what they give you when nothing else makes sense. What it could really mean is increased gut permeability (maybe read on that) or also low-degree mitochondrial damage either from the parasite or simply from some years of stress. But generally hard to say. Best to work with a specialist in your area

@Joelvs

You should try cutting out raw leafy greens, oats, pasta, and eat a week of potatoes, roots (carrots etc.) white rice, salted meat, no coffee.

@Michael569okay. Could you recommend some kind of specialist? I tried already a lot. From someone specialised on parasites to a doc even specialised on fatigue. I read an article about functional medicin lately, what are your thoughts on that?

@UDTcould you give me some background on the advice with the potatos and carrots? And for one week only?  And do you have some thoughts on which specialist might help?

Functional medicine is a great concept in my opinion. Although some of their concepts are not in accordance with the latest research, generally they are a good bridge between the scientific and the natural. I also specialise in men's health including fatigue and cellular health, you can check my website and testimonials in the signature below. Other than that naturopaths can offer great support, not sure where you are based, but they may be around. For something like parasitic cleanse, herbalist could be a good way for you as well.

But I guess, the first step should be check-in in with your doctor and getting all the tests you can. Start there and if nothing helps, go private.

Whatever journey you take,I wish you the best of luck and success !!

If Anthony Williams' info resonates with you, you can check his books on how to heal.

"Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS), Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease (SEID)

True cause: Any of the over 60 varieties of Epstein-Barr virus, accompanied by toxic heavy metals such as mercury and aluminum, can create this condition that I call neurological fatigue, which is far more pronounced and limiting than simply being tired. A high-fat/high-protein diet accelerates the condition."

Chronic fatigue and headaches are caused by a autoimmune reaction, and its your task to identify what causes it. In most cases i s some kind of food that you eat. id suggest make a eliminative diet and  start reintroducing them gradually until you identify the bad one.

@mavelezm I read his Book Medical Medium, didnt tried the diet in their yet. Is their some other specific book from him you can recommend? And did you tried his diet?  @Rajneeshpuram How would you go about this? You mean like cutting out a bunch of food types like gluten and lactose and then if it doesnt help cutting out the next type of food? And isnt their a test that can find out which food could be bad for me? Or isnt that 100% reliable?

Hey I don't know if you are still struggling, but look into toxic mold. I believe it is the root cause of CFS and related auto immune disorders. Dr. Ritchie shoemaker and others have done extensive research on the connection and the CDC has also recently acknowledged it. Unfortunately, most doctors are still oblivious to this fact.

Metals and food sensitivities are down stream issues, because mold essentially shuts off detox and lets chemicals, metals etc accumulate, exacerbating the chronic inflammation which leads to even more sensitivities and issues with food, scents, etc.

Maybe research heavy metal toxicity.  Mercury seems to be a big one/the main one.

Book = Andy Cutler's Mercury Detox Protocol.

  • In the book he also gives a high-thiol and low-thiol food list so you can do a 4 or so day elimination diet to see how you react to low thiols and high thiols (a type of sulfur; also apparently lists for low-sulfur diets found on the internet, according to the author, aren't sufficient since they don't distinguish between high or low thiol foods, only sulfur foods).  I just did this and had my first day back on high thiols yesterday and felt pretty shitty (the biggest thing I noticed was this big brain fog/pressure thing which makes it hard to concentrate and is sort of disorienting, along with some mild sickly feelings and perhaps depressive like feelings as well).
  • I think I also felt a bit lighter and less foggy and groggy on the days on low-thiol foods (nothing too major though, but if you think about how it can add up over time, I see some benefit to switching diets).

Apparently tons of random symptoms can be caused by heavy metal toxicity, stemming from dental amalgams, ingesting mercury through food, vaccines, etc.

I've definitely had a problem I'd describe as what you wrote.
