Getting my shit together

After disappointing my parents with shitty grades for about the third or fourth time this school year, I have finally convinced myself to take some radical action towards discipling myself. 

So far I have logged out of and deleted social media apps like reddit, twitter and discord etc. This meant saying goodbye to a good friend of mine till exams are over (though I'll still probably stay in touch). 

I know this forum can become a distraction too and I will switch to something like Notion if I can't handle it. 

What do I want?

- Study a lot more

- Good grades

- Exercise 

Why do I want what I want?

Seems like pretty good and basic things to get started on.

I honestly just really don't wanna fail everything because that's how it seems like the rest of the years gonna go and that'd be very very bad.

What I really fear is loosing all of this motivation to do well in a week or so. 
 

I already anticipate this happening and it’s kinda inevitable. 
 

But anyways, here’s a daily report:

+ Attended school class without getting distracted 

+ Didn’t use any social media apps (though I did log back onto Twitter for ~ 30 minutes)

- No exercise 

- No after class preparation

I think I’m going to start challenges to get my score up. For example, my tomorrow’s challenge could be to severely limit the amount of time I spend on Twitter and instead focus on other stuff I’m interested in when free. Let’s see. Successful completions of challenges will earn me a 1/2 bonus point.

So, tomorrow’s challenge: Little to no social media distractions.

So.. I didn’t really use social media all that much but I did basically play this video game on my phone all day. Idk If I really deserve an extra 1/2 point for this tbh but I’ll do it for today anyways. 
 

Challenge for tomorrow is to revise everything studied in school. 
Also, let’s change that bonus point from 1/2 to 1/4.

I did watch Leo’s video on ambition today. I’m not quite sure what I really learned from it but it did motivate because I do like to think of myself as a rather ambitious person.

Surprisingly, I actually didn’t use social media as much today! What I did instead was reinstalled YouTube and watched educational videos on History, politics and economics. I feel like these videos fill the void much better and I’m at least doing something productive, even if it isn’t related to school.

Hey man? Consider projecting a visualisation of how would you feel if you were healthy, productive, the things that you could do and how does it feel to be done with them. If you didn't need social media and so on. Desire health for exapmle, put a conscious decision to desire health, i just want to be healthy. Try to do this for like 10-20 minutes a day for an experiment, to increase intrinsic motivation? Works for me! What do you say?
