I have so many thoughts about SD I thought I might as well start a journal about it.

Limits in Human development over history.

Purple: The limit of the tribe.

For humanity to develop we had to break free from the tribe.

Red: The limit of anarchy.

For society to function well we had to learn to get along, religion became the government.

Blue: The limit of religion.

For humanity to expand even further we had to free our thinking.

Orange: The limit of the planet and survival of the species.

Once we were allowed to think we became global. Weve gone too far. The environment is in peril. This might be the end of the world as we know it. We had to go back to nature.

Green: Limit? Dont know.

Tier 2: Will we live to become a Tier 2 society or will Tier 1 be the end of us all? We will see.

The limit of equality, respect, and treating everyone as equal where people are at different levels of development.

Learned a bit of philosophy today.

Read about David Hume.

Awesome guy.

Apparently he knew about Buddhism.

Thats why he invented the concept of the Bundle Theory Of Self which is very similar The Skandhas/Five Aggregates.

He also talked about induction.

Induction is when you assume that the quality of one thing is inherent in the quality of all similar ones. For examples... All fires are hot... All swans are white.

Induction can be good but it can also trap us. All swans are not white. Most fires are hot but we dont know if all of them are because we havent explored the entire universe.

Been learning Medieval history today. Brutal battles. Im so happy I was born in this modern society. Cant imagine how scary it would be to fight in the Hundred Years War and see a hail of arrows rain down on me. According to Leo I was there since consciousness is/was inhabiting every person that has ever been born. Very shocking to think about. Am I just reading about myself a thousands years ago?

2020 is the start of the era of The Misinformation Age. Now we have clearly seen the signs of unregulated social media and the damage it does. Now we really need to become Yellow thinkers. Hardcore epistemology for the school-kids since day one!

Western Philosophy is underrated. Hume, Spinoza and even Kant all knew something... Kant talked about the Self that couldnt be experienced but that experienced the self. Sound familiar? and Schopenhauer loved the Upanishads!

transcendental ego (plural transcendental egos)

(philosophy, phenomenology, Kantianism) The conscious self which is the unifying subject of a person's experiences and which cannot itself be experienced as an object, understood by Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) as knowable only by inference, and understood by Edmund Husserl (1859-1938) as pure consciousness.quotations ▼

There are no enemies. Only differing opinions. Dont cut a person off entirely just because he/she riles you up. He/she might offer something valuable that youll miss because you built a wall around yourself.

What are the limits of the senses?

•A thought can imagine a smell but a thought doesnt have a smell in itself.

•A thought can imagine a sound and therefore become a sound itself. Although the sound has the quality of a thought and not a real sound.

•A thought is not material yet exists.

•A thought can take any shape, but what is the substance of thought itself?

To be continued.

•Thought is the one that hears and the one that speaks at the same time. There is no time lag inbetween. Who is the one hearing?

What are the differences between the 6 senses? Are there similarities?

•A sound has duration, amplitude, pitch.

•Sight has shape, color and movement. Sight can also be fooled, like optical illusions.  Sight is limited to a certain amount of colors and shapes. Sight is limited by distance and the visual field.

Awareness sees without eyes. Awareness is prior to sight.
