Has Anyone Here Tried Hypnotherapy?

13 posts in this topic

I met a girl a while ago that said she tried hypnotherapy/hypnosis from a therapist and got rid of her anger towards her father.

Has anyone tried it for therapy, addiction or anything serious? How did it go? Whats the process like? Curious.

I use hypnotic meditations by entrance, made by two hypnotherapists.  I also use hypnotic meditation from Michael Sealey and unlock your life.

So powerful.  They can really change your life.

Beware of the quick fix regardless of the form in which it's peddled.

Im not interested in a quick fix, only as an addition to therapeutic work Im already doing. If I can get an insight from hypnosis that helps me 10% I will be happy with that.

Yeah... Im looking for the real deal, dont mind trying a video though, but I think being in the physical space with someone would be more powerful.

Hypnosis is amazing, very meditative, just surrender yourself into it.

Yes it can definitely be a useful tool, but I find actual clinical hypnotherapy way more effective than what's found on youtube. (Or atleast what I've found on yt so far).

I had a hypnotherapist years ago. A very good one. It was fun. Didn't really help my life though. Just my experience. Maybe I just didn't have a lot of trauma at the time, so there wasn't too much to heal. idk.

Did you have any insight? What was the experience like in general?

Fun. Relaxing. Kind of like meditation but less engaged. I would put headphones on so he could play relaxing music and tell me a story about how my life would go well in the future. He had me put on some glasses with flashing lights and I'd lay on a recliner while he read. It was pretty cool. No idea if it helped anything but I really didn't have a whole lot of problems anyway -- parents paid for it and recommended it to me.

Not much insight. This was before I was knee deep in brutally awakening though.
