Colors

How do we know that we all see the same thing? This is infinity so maybe not. We cannot prove that we do what I see a green tree as might be a completely different color to you but we both say green . I’ve thought about this since I was a little kid

The color green is not something you see. It exists by itself, as a perception happening to empty space itself.

You’ve never seen color, color just is by itself. In empty space.

It's worse than you think.

You're imagining others, period.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

That’s how I saw colors my whole life until I went to University. They told me that colors are photons that travel into the optic nerves, rods/cones, and then the visual cortex in brain to be perceived as colors.

How did you come to the realization that colors are Being and not perceived. I get it conceptually, but I need to recontexualize my experience.

All Teachers and Teachings are delusion. You have all the answers within you. The first step on the journey to Enlightenment is questioning all the beliefs and teachings you have ever received. Teachers/Teachings are a distraction/maya at the highest level. There comes a point where you need to trust in your own innate knowledge and derive your own insights into the nature of reality. Teachers make a living and lifestyle of selling you water by the river. You don’t need them. All you need is an insatiable desire for truth and then seriously contemplate reality and uncover all that is false.

That’s called Materialist brainwashing - in your direct experience do you see photons, optic nerves, rods / cones, a brain?

Your experience as reality is direct. Without any intermediaries. You and the color green are the same being through two forms. These forms or colors are appearing in you.

Yeah that's literally just a story you're imagining every time you see the color green. It's not even in your experience, it's in your imagination. You're not gonna know the color green better than directly experiencing it.

To answer the initial question though, it's not possible to confirm everyone sees the same color. This is a pretty famous problem.

"God is not a conclusion, it is a sudden revelation. When you see a rose it is not that you go through a logical solipsism, "This is a rose, and roses are beautiful, so this must be beautiful." The moment you see it, the head stops spinning thoughts. On the contrary, your heart starts beating faster. It is something totally different from the idea of truth." -Osho
