This came from a site called the Neurohacker Collective.  Daniel Schmachtenberger has ties with it, and Jordan Hall might be as well, but I'm not sure. (both stage Yellow thinkers).

Here's their short guide to the basics.  Very worth it.  Simple, straightforward practices that anyone can implement.

If you just want the guts of it, I'd recommend going to the chart on page 8.  It combines integral AQAL (interior-exterior / individual-collective) model & the pareto-principle (80/20) to illustrate foundational exercises (pareto 80% results) and advanced exercises (pareto 20% results).

  • Interior / Individual : Mind Care
    • Foundational (80% of results)
      • gratitude
      • internal reflection
      • journaling / memorializing
    • advanced (20% of results)
      • effective psychotherapy
      • meditation / mindfulness training
      • coaching / mindset training
  • Interior / Collective : relationships
    • foundational(80% of results)
      • company you keep
      • company you give
      • time without company
    • advanced(20% of results)
      • communication training
      • studying human behavior sciences
      • attachment theory education
  • exterior / individual : body care
    • foundational(80% of results)
      • sleep
      • nutrition
      • movement
    • advanced(20% of results)
      • personalized / functional medicine
      • integrative wellness therapies
      • supplementation
  • exterior / collective : environment
    • foundational(80% of results)
      • lighting
      • air and water quality
      • sleeping conditions
    • advanced(20% of results)
      • sleep tech
      • environment tech
      • time in nature

It then goes into more depth explaining each exercise or item.

Enjoy :) !

I've been struggling to maintain a solid meditation practice and grow in that domain for a while now (though I've bulldozed through it for a few years ending in it not really working).  I do like 10-20 mins a day now.  This gave me the lens of seeing how I was deficient in other basic areas which, without them, any further development in more advanced areas and techniques wouldn't work.

This is awesome. I would definitely put meditation in the 80% though. I was actually reflecting today about how little 1 hour per day of meditation really is compared to all the other unnecessary activity I expose myself to throughout a day and how much return on investment it gives. An hour a day has without a doubt provided the most benefit to my growth compared to any other personal wellness/development techniques. Perhaps I am simply in the minority though.

Otherwise this list looks phenomenal!

What does he mean for internal reflection? What is his methodology?

Thanks for the valuable post, btw. I don't fully agree with what he puts in the 80 and what in the 20% but still it's an interesting perspective
