Then what's the point of duality?

Why does there need to be a point to anything?

It gets worse than this...

There already isn't anything or anyone in the body.

It can occur during spiritual practice, after taking psychedelics or simply walking through the park.

There is no 100% prescription ❤

Mhm - so that's how one becomes no one, thank you for enlightening me; one cannot become no-one because One is already No One! Aha, non-duality 101... - only the Vegan-Awake-avatar seems to be still stuck in a dualistic belief of clinging to "No One", not realizing you can't have "No One" without "One"... Just like FC Barcelona/Real Madrid fans cling to their favorite team and hope the other team goes to Hell, not realizing that if the other team went to hell - as in disbanded - their own team, as they know it, would disband too..., Cos how can you define FC Barcelona without defining Real Madrid?

Non-duality is about the interconnectedness of everything yes, but it isn't about metaphorically smashing everything together into 1. I am not this body and also a Chinese race car in a factory in Hong Kong.

There are apparent different objects... for example there's that body over there and this body over here. And just like sandcastles although there are apparent differences, it's all still just sand, its all star material.

Non-duality is pointing to the fact that there aren't actually any separate individuals inside the bodies... that's the Illusion or the Dream.

This is what makes Duality an impossibility...not 2.

You can't say one person is separate from the other when it's actually discovered there is actually no one to be separated in the first place.

There are still apparent separate bodies, but nothing or no one inhabiting them.

Look closely for yourself...

What is the 'I' ?

What does it consist of ?

Deeply look ❤

@VeganAwake

"but it isn't about metaphorically smashing everything together into 1. I am not this body and also a Chinese race car in a factory in Hong Kong."

Yes it is.

Yes you are.

Only you don't see it, like a fish doesn't see water. It's too obvious. Some day, maybe you will see it (become it).

"And just like sandcastles although there are apparent differences, it's all still just sand, its all star material"

There are no apparent different bodies and there are no sand. It's all Consciousness/Love/God/You.

You still got a long way to omniscience bro. I wish you all the non-dualistic luck you need. ❤️?

Just remember bro there will always be a long way to go for the ego... that's how it stays alive... keeps you running on the hamster wheel sort of speak.

Everything is already here already available now... Its not off in some mystical lala land.

Good luck as well my friend ❤

At the end he says peace and happiness is another name for consciousness. That's interesting because I would consider myself peaceful and happy and don't even believe in consciousness at least in the way he attempts to portray it.

I also have the sense that guy that asked the question was probably more confused after Rupert was done explaining what it was he was attempting to explain.

I think Rupert had some sort of Awakening but then completely filled his apparent experience with lots of conceptual dogma.

throwback tuesday. Lol. I just watched Ruperts explanation here (didn't do last time). And the clarity in his words is astounding.

VeganAwake, my dear dear friend <3, don't you find it puzziling that on the first page of this thread, it's filled with messages like:

"Yeah, I also was amazed by clarity of explanation"

and then you come with this belief:

" I also have the sense that guy that asked the question was probably more confused after Rupert was done explaining what it was he was attempting to explain."

lol

"I think Rupert had some sort of Awakening but then completely filled his apparent experience with lots of conceptual dogma."

I think this is the case for you. You had an awakening and then filled your apparent experience with lots of conceptual dogma about no-self.

No-self is also a concept bro:D

Of course, there isn't the personal, separate self. THAT is illusion. There is truly no separateness. It's all one. Subject and object: identical.

But: what is then real? What do you get when you merge subject and object? What is it that is aware of the fact that there is no seperate, personal self? Rupert calls it Consciousness. I call it God or Love. Some call it Light. What do you call it, veganawake? <3 Nothingness, perhaps? Perhaps you insist on giving it no name?:D

no it's not puzzling at all and in fact it makes complete sense... the separate sense of  'I' does not want to die. It will always deny this message.

there is absolutely nothing wrong with meditation eating white rice and listening to Rupert Spira at all.

All that is being illuminated here is that it's very common for Spiritual Seekers to fall into the trap of the spiritual ego.

From the experience here, it usually begins with some sort of awakening, glimpse or mystical experience where as the sense of 'self' or ego feels threatened and sneaks in the back door and relabels the sense of 'I' as Higher Consciousness; The true self; higher self; God; Infinite consciousness etc...

It's not an attempt to criticize judge or invalidate anyone else's direct experience. It's just food for thought!!

It's real and unreal unnamable unfathomable incomprehensible....THIS ❤

What about the spiritual-super-sneaky-ego-trap of:

1. having a mystical experience of no-self/ego-death

2. then, "getting back to ordinary life", the ego feels threatened, and it relabels the sense of 'I' " as:

- "something that does not exist"
- "no-self"
- "nothingness"
- "no one"

and then hides behind all that conceptual jumbo mumbo and clings to this fantasy-idea of 'not existing', because it -- in very sneaky ways -- supports the ego's agenda of self-survival (because this nihilistic belief of 'not existing'/''reality is meaningless' is used to justify all kinds of selfish/ego-behaviour, such as getting drunk on a casino and throwing away money to rich people ...).

Is this a trap that you have ever considered if you, yourself, have falled into?

...

I guess not, right?:D<3 jokes on you bro!

also just consider this food for thought! I'm just having fun with this food, I'm really not trying to offend you. I love you!

Valid point here. But you seem to be either willingly or not so willingly being unable to understand what Rupert is trying to convey.

What you are repeatedly calling 'THIS'; Rupert calls it as 'Consciousness'. The experience of being Aware. The only experience there ever is, was or ever can be.

Simply THIS. Consciousness. Whatever you wanna call it or not.

When anyone argues for or against THIS; it still remains THIS. It is unfathomable. Even when it is attempted to grasp, it still remains THIS.

he is using an analogy to describe that which is indescribable

"It's real and unreal unnamable unfathomable incomprehensible....THIS"

yes I very much agree. But we can still try to point to it. And I personally think Rupert is very good at pointing:D But this is ofc also individual. What resonates.

Listen to him again perhaps and be aware of the fact that he is just very consciously using an analogy for something which can't be described. The analogy is pointing to something, though, nothing:D
