Or people don’t buy the science behind wearing masks to protect against viruses ?

Science is part of the culture war to these people.

Science is culture.

There is a long and rich history of science denial by conservatives. Going back to Galileo.

Ahh yeah totally. America is quite unaccepting of science backed by other modalities, not that everyone is aware of the roots of their science modality

Some youtube comment:

Quote

what's wrong with Libertarianism. Small Fed gov. Stronger state gov. Everyone grows their own food. Everyone builds their own house, everyone teaches their children at home. We follow two rules. Do no harm to others. Do no harm to others property. That's how you truly liberate yourself and become free.

@Carl-Richard Awesome find!

That's exactly how they think. It's extremely simplistic and self-centered. It completely overlooks the complexities of 21st century society like nuclear weapons, pollution, jet airplanes, and a thousand other such things.

That's because my video was copypasted from their debating points.

I can't make up my mind on which video to put up. Jordan Owen I know is a libertarian. He seems to like Ayn Rand a lot. It's really tempting to put The Sierra Effect: A Measured Response on here because I find that video hilarious. I'm not sure if it's on topic. He asks for $60,000 dollars for that campaign. He's also a typical anti-sjw because he doesn't want his porn and games censored. It seems like a libertarian thing. So instead I have this example.

This person is pretty idealistic. Then again every political ideology is in a sense.

Didn't realize iframes didn't work on here.

I partially was using this topic to see if iframes worked before I post anything. Anglo Libertarian is the person and the video is "The Essentials of Anarcho-Capitalism // (Briefly Explained)"

I saw the accepted file types. I just wasn't sure about embed stuff.

Would the way Ralph Smart has been acting about the coronavirus and masks count as an example of libertarianism?

I had a talk with another person after I posted about him in the stage orange mega thread. The person that replied made good arguments about why it's more of an example of green.

Is this an example of green, orange, or a mix? If it's mix, then what areas are green and what areas are orange?

@Dragon Liege I don’t know if you can map anti-mask sentiment onto spiral dynamics, but whatever the case it’s an absurd belief to have. My respect for Ralph Smart at this point is basically 0 so it doesn’t surprise me he’s pushing this sort of nonsense.

Do you think the mask protects against viruses?

Like kevlar can protect you against bullets, it can stop most pistol rounds at mid range, can't stop rifle round at point blank. Masks will not completely protect you against the virus, however they decrease your chance of getting infected. You are supposed to wear masks in tandum with other safety measures to ensure that the infection chance is as close to 0% as possible.

Mask + sanitary + distancing + stay at home

Here's a small creator who I've been following for a while who suddenly started losing his mind to stupid Libertarian freedom-of-speech warriordom.

He talks about LeafyIsHere's banning but also complains that Alex Jones's banning was also unfair and oppressive. He over-exaggerates the problem of big-tech platforms having the ultimate power to remove anyone from their platform and unironically uses the phrase "free market".

Unsubbed from his channel. Goddamn Libertarians. . . .
