Share your solo retreat tips

4 posts in this topic

So it's summer and it's retreat season for self-developers. I will be doing a solo 6 day retreat. It's gonna be the first solo retreat for me.

I would be happy if some of you shared some tips on how to retreat, thanks.

set a goal and intention for the retreat

increase practice leading up to retreat so you have more stamina and so the retreat is MORE productive... instead of falling into a groove until after a couple days.

I want to do a solo retreat in the near future too.
I'll come up with a clear plan on what I should be doing during these days. Otherwise it can be wasted on just laying around and not doing anything significant, which is also fine, but probably not as powerful.

Where will you go?
I am feeling sort of stingy about money, because I'd have to rent a place around here and it's not cheap.

My friends parents have a summer house in the woods that they go to every weekend, so they will let me be there for the week and it wont cost me anything. And yeah it's expensive to find anything good that would be free of other people, that you could be all alone there.
