Slayer - Repentless

Arrogance, violence, world in disarray
Dealing with insanity every fuckin' day
I hate the life, hate the fame, hate the fuckin' scene
Pissing match of egos, fuck their vanity
Ain't got the time, I don't want anything from you
Feeding on my tolerance is all you fuckin' do
No looking back, no regrets, no apologies
What you get is what you see

Live fast
On high
Repentless
Let it ride

My songs relive the atrocities of war
Can't take society any fuckin' more
Intensity, anarchy, hatred amplified
Playing this shit is all that keeps me alive
Leave it all on the road living on the stage
This is my life where I kill it everyday
So take your shot, bottom's up, this is no lie
I'll be beating this guitar 'til the day I die

Live fast
On high
Repentless
Let it ride

I hate the life, hate the fame, hate fuckin' scene
Pissing match of egos, fuck their vanity
Ain't got the time, I don't want anything from you
Feeding on my tolerance is all you fuckin' do
No looking back, no regrets, no apologies
What you get is what you see
We're all killing ourselves a little more everyday

Live fast
On high
Repentless
Let it ride

@en-el hak Will Smith is stage Orange/green. When you watch some of his videos you can obviously tell he reads a lot of self help material and use into personal development. A good movie that perfectly encapsulates Will is “The pursuit of Happyness”, a very stage orange movie. And he’s all about success, fame, money, traveling the world, promoting himself etc.

Hes flirting with stage green id say, I know he’s a Sadhguru fan (but who isn’t nowadays?) and he dabbles with some mysticism.

@vizual I agree. But that slap was a pure Red act, don't you think? Not a healthy one too.

I would say so. Of course Will Smith himself isn't purely Red, and slapping as an act is not inherently Red, but slapping as a response to somebody joking about your wife and then repeatedly yelling "keep my wife's name out of your mouth!" is pretty Red.

The red value system triggers me a tad bit, what should I do?

It just seems so barbaric.

Instantiates how stage red is born out of harsh environments where red values and functioning is necessary for surviving and meeting one's basic needs.

(WARNING: this video is graphic, viewer discretion is advised)

Spoiler Alert: the following video contains spoilers from the Invincible animated series.

I generally don't like to give too many examples on the vMEME Red Mega-Thread coming from the industry (games and movies). Because they tend to bastardize a lot they're worldview, by means of irrational, excessive and pointless violence,  just to make it look good on the screens...

But this particular example is very illuminating, it shows very well the transition phase from vMEME Red to vMEME Blue, which occurs, in the words of Claire Graves, when Red reaches its peak and realizes that it is unsustainable to maintain that kind of attitude any longer, and the way that occurs is through guilt and shame for one's own actions towards others, that the harm inflicted on other people also affects him in the process,  he also have a more tangible feeling of what mortality really means for us humans,  making him/her much more cautious whenever he/she wants to take impulsive actions...

Spoiler Alert: in case some of you guys did not understood what was going on in that video, that character is a "Super-Man" type of character,  who was sent to Earth in order to colonize humans,  and the other character (the one who's being beaten up) is his son, who tries to stop him from doing it.

Here's an example of a stage Red/Blue event. This is a recent basketball game in Aleppo, Syria. Both teams are from Aleppo. Often these games are very aggressive and sometimes brutal fights happen at the end, no matter who has won. You can hear the national anthem played in the beginning and the announcer saying a few words about the teams' history after that, all be it in Arabic haha.

Story behind the song:

Quote

Robert Fripp:

Thela Hun Ginjeet is an anagramistic title. The song has to do with urban violence, crime in the streets, being mugged
You know, all those kind of useful social comments
Now, there's a line in which the singer has to act the part of a person who is being mugged
And Adrian one day went to the studio and got in front of the microphone
And was saying, "He held a gun against my head, this is a dangerous place
I wouldn't like to live here"
You know, which isn't awfully convincing
So I said to him, why don't you take this pocket cassette machine and walk around the block
And get a bit more of a feel of what it's like to be on the street
So he went around the block, walking and talking into the machine
And as he walked around the corner he said into the machine
"This is a dangerous place, He held a gun against my head, I wouldn't like to live here"
And immediately got set on by a street gang
They said, "Hey man! Hey man! What-what you got there?"

Adrian Belew:

So, suddenly, these two guys appear in front of me
They stopped
Real aggressive
Start at me, you know
"W-what's that? What's that on that tape?"
"Yeah, what do you got there?"
I said, "Nothing"
"What are you talking into that for?"
"It's just a tape, you know"
"Well play it for me"
I said "Oh, no"
I put 'em off as long as I could
And finally they turned it on, you know
They grabbed it from me
Took it away from me
Turned it on
And it says, "He held a gun in his hand, this is a dangerous place."
They said, "What dangerous place?" "What gun?" "You're a policeman!"
And the deeper I fought, the worse I got into it
I talked, I told him... I said, "Look man, I'm not talkin'..."
It went on forever
Anyway, I finally unbuttoned my shirt, and said,
"Look, look... I'm in this band here, you know, I'm in this band you know
And we're makin' a recording, you know
And it's just about New York City, it's about crime in the streets..."
The explanation was going nowhere, but
Finally, they just kinda let me go, I don't know why
So I walk around the corner
And I'm like shakin' like a leaf now
And I thought, "This is a dangerous place" once again, you know
Who should appear but two policemen *laughs*

I'm not criticizing the music genre, but the kind of environment that these guys were in is very vMEME Red.
