How to ask a question about existance?

15 posts in this topic

So I've been into this journey of self-actualization for a bout a year now and meditating daily for the past ~7months.
For the past 3 months I've been doing enlightenment work - Self inquiry 30mins almost daily. (I love to start my topics with my enlightenment stats)

Recently I came to a realization that there is no question to be asked about existance, since questions cannot be applied within that 'place'.
I realised that the story of me (my name, profession, personal traits, beliefs, behavior etc) is completely fictive.

I have realized that 'I' or 'me' is a concept, therefore the question - 'Who am I?' or 'What am I'? no longer makes sense, it's just not the right question to ask anymore.
That leaves me with a question 'What am?' but yet again - this question is also not the right question to ask, because 'What' is something, and therefore cannot be 'the real me'.

So this leaves me with a dead end. There are no more questions to be asked while doing self-inquiry. Where do I go from here?

Who is the real You?

Where is here?

Try to contemplate these questions.

You are the existence itself, not just a concept. You are everything that ever was and will ever be. The purpose is not to kill the 'I' but to stop identifying with your false self and realize that you are God and everything is your mirrored self and a projection of yourself. But to get there, you need to reach that "tabula rasa" state again which comes by default from birth. Then you can start reprogramming your mind and make the rules because till now you've been thinking that you're a homo sapiens monkey which is not the truth. Reality is stranger than fiction.

Great work. It’s not a ‘dead end’, it’s just the ‘ceiling’ of thought / thinking (duality).

Thinking won’t do for self inquiry, cause you’re not a thought.

Notice most concepts, like “up” and “down” only appear to have meaning relative to the opposite concept.

But some concepts, like existence, do not have an opposite.

@meow_meow That's okay. Now just sit in silence and focus on direct experience.

Questions have value, but you don't want to question so much that you are stuck at the logical/verbal level.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Yesss! ^ I got this very slowly (and quite recently)

The focus of inquiry is not the questions, but the direct observation. Successful self enquiry is sitting still for long periods of time in a state of "looking" with questions only a gentle, periodic, peripheral guidance.

For so long I was stuck looking at the questions

Some other concept that might be useful of becoming conscious of:

What is other?

What is language?

What is a body?

What is a relationship?

From the point of 'where', you can only go backwards.
