Please answer this question for me :

I am serious about growth and I have barely taken any action.  And I have watched Leo's content for 3-4 years now. I'll keep the question simple.

What is the simplest spiritual practice I could start with?

Are you saying he was breathing without purpose? @ivankiss

@assx95 Start with meditation. Just close your eyes, sit, and do nothing for 20 minutes. It can't get any easier than this.

Start a daily meditation habit. 20 minutes will do.

I want to be aware of all the traps I keep falling into. To give an example, I mindlessly pursue pleasure sometimes, be it porn, Instagram, Netflix, you get it. I want to develop enough awareness to be able to see the consequences of my urges, and to take an action which would be more loving to myself and more conscious.

@ivankiss ?

@assx95Breathe purpose’, even.

Meditation, every morning, without exception. Emotion arises, energy in the body to be released. Write about how you feel, now. Not about a past or future, a self or another. Take no thing for granted, nothing is hidden. Thoughts are things. The only trap is believing your own mind, which is not a thing, merely the claimer that there are things, and not even.

Do you have positive interests to focus on?

The simplest thing you can start with is awareness.

Just try to focus consciousness on Itself. When this happens, instead of being aware of your thoughts, you're aware that you're aware of your thoughts. This is a big deal for me. Notice this silent witness all the time, or at least try to remember as much as you can.

As for me, I forget and remember hundreds of times during the day.

This is the simplest meditation ever, it does not require any prep, special seating, posture, atmosphere.

Talking to another person, become aware, writing something....become aware...taking shower..., doing the dishes....observe, observe, observe your thoughts, feelings, reactions, motives, sensations, everything.

Bro, if you were told "there's £1,000,000,000 waiting for you at the end of a 250 mile long road" and you see a scooter, a bicycle, a car, and a motorcycle...would you be asking "what is the the simplest method of transport I can use" or "what is the most effective method of transport I can use. I can guarantee you I'd be on that motorcycle and there in half an hour. You can waste YEARS of your life using the easiest methods. Why not start with some little kriya yoga visualization practises and self enquiry? And psychedelics are the equivalent to a super-motorcycle...use them lol. Obviously you don't start with a big 45 minutes a day, but aim for that!

I literally don't see why anyone wouldnt use the most powerful techniques. "Do nothing" is one I need to ramp up in my own sadhana

I have an instagram channel, but they shadow banned me. So, right now, there is nothing in particular.

I am aware that I am typing this. What does it mean to focus consciousness on itself?

How does kriya yoga help you, in contrast to how meditation helps you?

Breathing on purpose.

This is indeed different than what I usually do. My breathing is largely unconscious.

It is when you focus your consciousness (call it inner attention if you like) not completely on the object (any external object: tree, book, candle, person,window), but rather make awareness itself as an object. In this particular state the focus of consciousness is turned back to the Self. (where Self=Consciousness)

When you become aware you are no longer become immersed in the events around you. They can not suck you in because you are centered, you rest in your consciousness.

Does it make any sense?

The simplest practice is also the ultimate practice: be aware of being aware.

Do nothing

If you want something less simple but powerful: do nothing SDS on psychedelics
