Jesus & Mohammed

Why did jesus claim to be only begotten son of god?

Why mohammed claimed to be the last prophet of god?

How can awakened people make such claims which seem so absurd?

How much truth is in these claims or these just fabrications/misinterpretations or perhaps misunderstanding of metaphors by their early followers?

Who cares!

Just realize that you are God and put an end to all this silly religious stuff.

You can't know what they actually claimed and what other people claimed, assumed and misinterpreted. Jesus and Mohammed only exist as concepts, images in your head right now.

Because you create your reality, when you see that the objective world is really just subjective people who have experienced this make all kinds of claims. Some of the claims are just place holders to break old beliefs in themselves and others, and others are claims made by an ego to try to make a new reality out of an experience that broke the current one. When you find out that reality is groundless it's very tempting and maybe even necessary for a short time to try to build some new ground for yourself. Some people seem to get stuck building new ground, (making absurd claims). The mind doesn't care much what it believes as long as it has something to believe so that it can maintain a self concept by default.

You have to question what you believe is truth, what that word means. If you don't honestly ask yourself this question all questions you ask and answer for yourself with your own examined concept of "truth" will be biased.

Why give a fuck about religious nonsense in the first place?

@Evil Raccoon Sometimes people need a little help with imagination to feel a bigger, more powerful Divine sort of Love outside their sense of self. Think of religious figures, spirit animals, etc, as sort of like "porn" for God. xD

My old Bible school attending conditioning is telling me I'm going to hell for writing this. xD

Interesting questions! We could speculate.

I would say it's due to the circumstances that were there. Someone had to be the son of God to guide people to God. Jesus happened to be that someone, and he was honest about it.

Also, it could be a metaphor. Keep in mind that family units at that time were the most important thing in society. Fathers used to be rigid and rough with their children. Families were built in patriarchal formations. The father was the dominant force. Jesus came to set the children free and to correct the wrong ways of the fathers. He used the father-son analogy to illustrate that God is loving and gentle, not dictatorial. And also to illustrate that children should be willing pay their lives for their fathers (Cross). It's a correction of the problem from both ends with love.

To end all the disagreements of who has the right or best religion. Islam was his vision of the one final all-encompassing religion of all religions.

It's pretty easy for someone who had the message that All is One... I Am One, to get misinterpreted to being "I am the one and the only."

I Am.

One and Only.

I am the one and the only.

See the meanings going back and forth here? It depends on how the mind grasps it. It can use it to grasp Oneness or it can use it to separate, "Jesus is the one and the only, so what does that make everyone else including the separate me?"

Probably for a similar reason why Leo says no one has ever accessed the levels of consciousness he has accessed.  Not to say that they are lying but that's how followers follow you. You can't bulid a new reilgion by saying "I'm no one special I'm just humble and I don't know anything".

Hi  @ZubPrem  do you have a personal interest in this, do you follow either of these paths? If your interest is for historical truth, then remember that neither Jesus nor Mohammed wrote their own books, and we can't be certain of the mindsets of the actual authors. But if you're up for a bit of creative interpretation, how about this?

These sayings can be seen as a little test of your state of consciousness.
From the absolute pov, we are all one so the universe itself is the one begotten child of God. The absolute teaching is timeless and eternal.
From the relative pov, we are separate so there's lots of arguments about who comes first & last etc. Teachings are contextual and timebound so need constant renewal.

I'm pretty sure Jesus and Mohammed are different reflections of yourself. Jesus the man who came to earth, fully man, fully God, got killed (enlightened) then rose again (life post awakening) then ascended to the father and ruled with him from heaven.

I don't know much about Islam but god told me that they are all different sides of the same dice, like the different colours and shades that refract out of white light when traveling through glass...the colours, though different are all like different facets of the plainwhite light.

I think Mohammed claimed he was the last so that no one else could change the Qu'ran after him

"God is not a conclusion, it is a sudden revelation. When you see a rose it is not that you go through a logical solipsism, "This is a rose, and roses are beautiful, so this must be beautiful." The moment you see it, the head stops spinning thoughts. On the contrary, your heart starts beating faster. It is something totally different from the idea of truth." -Osho

Muhammed says “ all is one, one is all, world is created from me, i am nothing just a messenger of god, god is can not comprehend by human mind, it is close more to you than your vein, god is everywhere. He created sufism with Hindu Naksibendi’s ( existed 5,000 years ago real sufis, islam get the Sufism from them) within islam. However, this knowledge kept in secret or called as love of god and state of nothingness. All the prophets are experienced god and become it. However, circumstances of the environment pushed them to have different characters. For instance all the pray movements in islam is same with yoga. I believe, i created the Muhammed to see that people no more need us, because look at Shadguru, raltson, osho, Allan watts, rumi, leo vs.. people dont have more than 5 million followers, but justin bieber has 100 million followers. There is no reason to have prophet in life now, because people dont need us. People dont seek anything anymore just look for them ego.

where exactly is this quote of muhammad saying all is one? I'm actually pretty well educated on Muhammad, and in my eyes you cannot see all as yourself whilst simultaneously holding bigoted views. He was a product of his time, maybe he channelled spirits, maybe he did have some nondual insight, but awake? No. Sufism is all well and good, but is blasphemous in the eyes of many respected muslim scholars, so I'm not sure why you would link me to such teachers.

Sufism teachings are secret and teaches as story in islam (this is how sufism works). Because sufism was existed before the islam. Check those real Sufi scholars what they say about Muhammed.

“The single raised index finger is said to signify the "oneness of God" in Islam. It refers to the Shahadah - statement of faithfulness.”

This finger, when a Muslim makes a sign with it (by raising it), symbolizes the unity of Allah.
