I know that's your outlook on it and Leo's as well. It's just a hypothetical question.   Just suppose that happened.. What would that mean to our understanding of Consciousness?.  If you take someone from 3000 years ago and showed them our technology right now and how you can talk to someone on a different country and see them and even record the conversation so that you can replay it forever.. He would think that's utterly impossible and mystical. Yet here we are!

I doubt it will ever happen. The biological creature is most likely needed for inner subjective experience

They are trying to solve it from the point of view of understanding what happens when consciousness ceases during anesthesia. I'm sure even if they would figure it all out and be satisfied with an answer, mystics won't be satisfied

Understanding emerges from reality. Reality is always larger than understanding, necessarily. How can a finite understanding ever capture an infinite reality?

I have just realized that you're not any different than materialists. You say "it's infinite consciousness and we're are (playing by its rules)... just be". How can that lead to evolution? Are you aware that we're not the only evolved species in this entire Universe? You're stuck in this Buddha mindset and that's not going to help anyone. I have been there and I'm tired.
