What are your thoughts about marijuana?

Weed can definitely be used to increase awareness and realization of consciousness. I had a pretty profound awakening this past weekend on it. Obviously nothing even close to any DMT derivatives, but still. I had a mini-awakening and spent the next 30 minutes in the freezing cold meditating, noticing how it's actually okay to be a little cold. I will add that I hadn't smoked weed for a couple weeks before this, and this all happened after I had been contemplating life for the past couple months. So yeah don't discount weed it can definitely be a good tool!

This is really interesting because I had the exact same thing happen to me. I didn't know it would amplify my trip so much and smoked way too much on the comedown of 170ug. Pitch started vibrating like crazy until it popped like a DMT breakthrough and then I thought I had just gone deaf.

Then something similar happened with my vision and eyesight and I got paranoid I would go blind as well for a minute.

It can be so hard to ground yourself. If you happen to be in the right setting it can be amazing, but otherwise you just get stuck in a delusional & dense mind-fog.

Glad I'm not the only one!

Boring. Disrupts sleep. Makes me lazy (not that I'm not lazy when sober).

I'd rather have some psychedelics or just stay sober. After smoking some changa all my addictions fly out of the window for at least 2 days.

That's what I observe in people on weed. The side-affects out-weight the benefits, imo.

@Ethan1 Great question to bring up! Personally, I see weed as big hindrance towards all of this self-help work. It should be available/legal for people who want it for the many reasons I won't get into here (and are probably already discussed on this forum somewhere). People who I have known who have smoked it are (mostly) very lazy, immature and generally unlikable people, it seems to be their only interest a lot of the time, that is how they spend their day, in this sort of drunken haze. It serves as a way for them to escape reality, which we can all empathize with of course. Some people who smoke it can probably use it responsibly and to help them relax, which is a good use of it, but in my experience the people who use it use it in excess and end up as these couch-slobs, basically :D :S

Marijuana has long been used by shamans from different tribes, from Indians to the northern tribes of Asians in north of Siberia. Everyone knows that I think. Thus, they "had contact with the spirits of their ancestors," saw the truth, and could utter something wise. In the 1980s, psychologists used marijuana with might and main to open the minds of their patients. The same thing happened in the practice of psychiatry. I know that many specialists buy it legally on parsl.co so now even this is practiced in California.

My psychiatrist told me if I continue smoking weed I'd be his lifetime member patient. Smoking weed further aggravated my depression. So a two-edged sword. Definately legalize but users must be over 25 (brain development peaks off)

Cannabis is awful for me. I get in my head even more than I'm. If I do it in social situations it is even worse. I did cannabis with a date once and I royally screwed it up.

A lot of people say they get talkative and fun when they smoke. I wish I was like that. I get the exact opposite when I smoke cannabis.

Deeply curious.

Is this plant worth messing with or avoiding in the process of self-actualization?

What is your experience with this plant?

What are your thoughts about those that smoke vs don't smoke pot?

Curious to hear different perspectives.

I find that weed, just like with other psychedelic / semi-psychedelic drugs, that the intent of use is everything.

It helps to distinguish a genuine intent for use from recreational use. Weed can be good for contemplating solo, getting into body work. (Different strands have different uses). Anything outside of this is considered recreational, more chance to develop into an addiction...which can be counter-productive.

Also make sure you getting quality bud, there's a lot of low quality stuff out there.

It’s different for everyone. Definitely try it. I’ve spent much of this past year high, and it’s been one thing that greatly revolutionized my spirituality. It’s such a low risk that it’s kind of ridiculous to not expose oneself to it at least a once.

Everybody wanna be a mystic, but nobody wanna dissolve themselves to the point of a psych ward visit.

Salutations,

Self-actualization or not have you even considered it's not actually a plant you're "messing" with??

>> What is your experience with this plant?

Decades of bigot propaganda.

 >> What are your thoughts about those that smoke vs don't smoke pot?

Don't smoke:  VAPORIZE!!

>> Curious to hear different perspectives.

Then use these basic-simple home-made criterias to re-evaluate this whole topic:

Neuro-plasticity
Contaminants
Consumption Method & Ritual
Socio-toxic 3rd-party interference

Which i keep repeating in vain around here anyway.

Good day, have fun!!  B|
