Are girls less horny than men?

It's so obvious that men are hornier than women.

If women were so horny, why would men struggle so much with getting sex? Right

Hypersexuality

Hypersexuality is extremely frequent or suddenly increased libido. It is currently controversial whether it should be included as a clinical diagnosis. used by mental healthcare professionals. Nymphomania and satyriasis were terms previously used for the condition in women and men, respectively.

Hypersexuality is known to present itself as a symptom in connection to a number of mental and neurological disorders. Some people with borderline personality disorder (sometimes referred to as BPD) can be markedly impulsive, seductive, and extremely sexual. Sexual promiscuity, sexual obsessions, and hypersexuality are very common symptoms for both men and women with BPD. On occasion for some there can be extreme forms of paraphilic drives and desires. "Borderline" patients, due in the opinion of some to the use of splitting, experience love and sexuality in unstable ways.

People with bipolar disorder may often display tremendous swings in sex drive depending on their mood. As defined in the DSM-IV-TR, hypersexuality can be a symptom of hypomania or mania in bipolar disorder or schizoaffective disorder. Pick's disease causes damage to the temporal/frontal lobe of the brain; people with Pick's disease show a range of socially inappropriate behaviors.[

@Maximus  it doesn't take away the point I'm making.

If women(most) were just as horny or more, then men just wouldn't need to go any places.

of course men are more horny, when have you ever heard of a woman going to a prostitute??? the sex industry is massive, even in places where prostitution is illegal

@intotheblack I think you made good points here, that's what I constasted at an intuitive level.

but by being more woke, that's what as a men I strive for, meaningless mechanical release is not anymore my source of main pleasure.

I live for aesthetic, love, and that excite me way more.

So you mean to say that good enough males do not have to struggle with getting sex at all?

Um no, I meant to say exactly what I said.

To clarify, I’ve noticed there’s a miscommunication going on in this thread with people confusing horniness with low selectiveness.

From my experience, and a lot of anecdotal evidence from both females and males, women have around the same level of sexual desire - if not more, but for fewer men. They are far more selective. Men are “hornier” only in the sense that they have lower standards and less evolutionary aversion to casual sex and sex with lower quality partners. Many women agree.

This is a far more accurate solution to the dating asymmetry.

And of course not all guys are “24/7” horny porn addicts like Leo who need to justify themselves by claiming it’s simply the male condition. I get horny perhaps once a week.

So, we all happy now?

@Display_Name no they are not, but I do agree with you on some level.

I push over the idea of "stage of consciousness" completely related to horniness and sexual acceptation.

there is 5 levels in the book I read and it does apply the idea of spiral dynamic aswell inside it. ( integral sex )

the thing is, both partner have to be at the SAME STAGES.

I never met a girl at level 5. I wish to be myself in such a relation. Currently living stage 3

Quick Copy&Paste from my notes on "The Red Queen"

"For a man casual sex with a stranger carried only a small risk—infection, discovery by the wife—and a potentially enormous reward: a cheap addition of an extra child to his genetic legacy"

Women are likely to be different: Having sex with a stranger not only encumbered a Pleistocene woman with a possible pregnancy before she had won the man ' s commitment to help rear the child, but it also exposed her to probable revenge from her husband if she had one and to possible spinsterhood if she did not.

These enormous risks were offset by no great reward.

Her chances of conceiving were just as great if she remained faithful to one partner, and her chances of losing the child without a husband ' s help were greater.

Therefore, women who accepted casual sex left fewer rather than more descendants, and modern women are likely to be equipped with suspicion of casual sex

this book is stage blue/green, non sense.

We are in a cybernetic society based upon aesthetic soon, copulation under stage yellow is animalistic and shitty, not even joking or playing here, I m litteral.

@GodDesireOnlyLove

Be careful of labeling books, written by people who studied their subject for decades, as nonsense.

To your point: I dont see the underlying mating strategies of men/ women changing anytime soon.

At least my behavior and preferences (as a man) are perfectly congruent with the theory.

Women need more intense and constant stimulation to reach orgasm, and many men don't have the will to satisfy a woman in that way.   Women get bored of just being fucked with no real satisfaction on their end, eventually they feel there's no point to engage in boring orgasm-less sex! and that's why they are seen as the less sexual ones.  Men can have sex just for the sake of having sex, and don't really have to put effort into climaxing.  women go deeper than that.  If a woman is connected with her partner emotionally and they have great sex together she always gonna be horny.

I can resonate with that to an extent being more feminine, I absolutely love foreplay almost as much as the sex and find its a good way to get warmed up, cuddles afterwards is amaze

No they are not. The data that suggests women are less horny was incorrect. Newer data shows women are as or more horny then men, but in different ways.

Instead of making an argument of girls are less horny then man bla bla bias dual  ...you should be asking how to make a girl horny or how their horniness works ? thats more interesting, what's the point on a competition, is ridiculous creating  this weird negative place.

My thoughts are men horniness can be more basic and obvious and girls horniness can be more subtle  and erotic so is different and to compare it, if is more or less is nonsense does amount define quality ... nop

How can we all understand each other better with out any constrictions and weight up on our bodies and sexual desires? maybe  we could find out a middle grown, where we find each other and enjoy our sexuality in a healthier and communicate way.

to a create a space where there's no impose things, that make it harder to have a conversation, but be more open to other each other perspectives and not be dogmatic or restricted by it.

I can share my thought and maybe give you an insight...and I know many people here are fans of leo I admire him and respect what he does, but I wont always agree, I like to separe the art from the artist sometimes I feel is healthier.

am happy to see that there are men that are willing to understand a female perspective and make good use out of that :)
