Without passions, what will you do once you awaken?

You see, after awakening life still continues. Chop wood, carry water, follow your passions.

There's really not good alternative to following your passions. The alternative is a dull life.

I never said not to follow your passions, just not to try and manufacture a passion that doesn't exist, because that's not how passions work.

With a passion of being or accessing total omnipresence, knowing, consciousness, then after enlightenment, you will fucken stare in awe at how that wood is being created, where it comes from, how it works, and how it fits into the big picture. That in itself is enough to leave you in pure love and joy.

But if you must keep taking the game seriously to be happy, then do whatever you want, make a book about how that wood actually works, create scientific studies of it using your telepathic omnipresence and knowing of what it is. Revolutionise science - even if that means being the crazy crack pot that no one listens to. I'm sure the right people will listen.

Keep being more and more omnipresent of the world forever.

I don't know sounds amazing. Much more amazing than 'cultivating other passions' fuck that, that aint worth it.

What you are saying is true, but how is thing going to manifest concretely in the real world for someone with a passion for understanding reality. If he said something very concrete, specific, and realistic like, "I want to be a basketball star, I know it in my heart!", then by all means I am all for what you are saying and going for that as it would fix all the survival problems along the way. But this passion of understanding reality is too abstract, which is why it's not such a bad idea for him to explore passions that are aligned with his grand passion for understanding reality.

That takes work, and faith and a lot of balls and courage to do things other people will think you're crazy or schizophrenic for doing. Its very hard but very rewarding.

Here's an example.

Here's another

Not its not too abstract, you're just too afraid and scared to live by what you want, rather than what society has conditioned you to do.

If you were Ghandi's father, you would have said "revolutionising India is too abstract and risky, you're better off trying to be a professor son".

But if you only have 1 passion in life, to me that means something is wrong. Out of all this stuff you can do in life, you're only passionate about 1 thing??? This is so limited. You should have more passions than you have time in the day to follow up on them.

FALL IN LOVE WITH LIFE!

Imagine if someone only had 1 favorite video game and refused to play any others. We'd think this is so limited and sad. That's my reaction when someone says they only have 1 passion.

You can have interests in other things,

but focus and being a specialist means having 1 passion. Sure you can have hobbies and passions in other things and be a bit of a renaissance man, but to truly get results, you need to focus heavily on 1 thing only. I think you said this in your LP you're contradicting your earlier work now lol. That's a bit of a weird statement to make.

Now you're talking about mastery. Mastery requires focus, yes. But even so, you can master a few things in life.

He could very well find things that he likes that are in alignment with his ultimate passion for understanding reality. Because, let's face it, how does that look? It's just too abstract, and I don't think there's anything wrong having an abstract passion or with me calling it abstract, it's just an appropriate word to use in this instance.

Well that's exactly what I did (and the people I posted a link to) did and we are all going well.

Finding other things is part of working with the abstract passion.

That's it! That's how it should be. A quality problem.

Now you can follow the LP Course to narrow down to your top one.

Thank you Leo for reply. I have done the LP course it really helped me. My impact statement is "Entertain people and make them better(make them better- Grow them)" so i think i can use direction writing and public speaking for it.  I am learning things for it.

Good, although still a bit vague. Drill down into it.

What's the most meaningful way to entertain and grow people?

What's the connection between entertainment and growth?

Do not make the mistake of thinking that passion and awakening are somehow mutually exclusive. Just the opposite! The greatest spiritual masters are passionate people! And their passion is not limited to teaching or talking about reality.

This is why my LP Course is still valid, even if you pursue enlightenment.

Leo!!!! This could be my favourite ever post you’ve made on this forum and I’m so glad tbis is the path you are going down, I mean if you’re staying sober for a while as well we could end up best friends who knows ;) ?

This is beyond true, awakening will only heighten the true passions within you and allow you to express then even more, life is fucking amazing and just wow! Every moment is truly an incredible spontaneous gift, I just love it so much!!

Im going to make a thread on exactly this- Passion!

Cultivating passion and a love for life is like unlocking the key to a never ending supply of joy, bliss and happiness, every day becomes a gift!

what are your passions outside of Spirituality (and 5MEO ?), it’s easy to neglect them when we are seeking truth and awakening, I know I did!

If I were you, I would start a meditation/contemplation habit ASAP if not already done, start deeply questioning reality to the levels you are passionate about. Follow your bliss.

There's no joy like being real intimate with reality.

If you're passionate about reality and understanding, then that's what you're passionate about. No faking other passions is gonna make your life happier. You're not going to thrive and enjoy other things if they don't make you happy, you will just feel like you're wasting your time and are living a depressed life.

@electroBeam yes, my passion is understanding reality, and I'm done faking anything else. I already have a meditation habit and I do psychedelics every so often. I do self inquiry too and even shamanic breathing.

@WhatAWondefulWorld I am sorry hear you feel in this way. Not to pull a pun on you but it really is a “a wonderful world”, your username says it all.

Life is an experimentation. Don’t limit yourself to what you have only attempted or interacted with. Go out and test many things. The more the better, that way you will know what you have the capacity to master. And I guarantee you have the capacity for multiple things.

Impossible that you couldn't, considering the eccentricity of you, which can never be replicated. If you begin to explore you will realise you have so many things you could do that there is no limit, there’s infinite possibilities.
