Interesting find in the Collective Consciousness of Manosphere groups

4 posts in this topic

Hey everyone! So I was tapping into the consciousness of various groups of the manosphere like MGTOW, PUA, etc. (Nothing excites me more than studying collective ego dynamics :D) and I have an interesting find. I saw a common thread between Incels and PUAs, which is that both those groups haze the shit out of their members! A sense of belonging is created out of shaming each other and pulling each other's self-esteem down. This sense of belonging is the glue that keeps the groups together. Incels use well-known shaming tactics like berating each other's looks, berating women, etc. PUAs, however, use hazing tactics like approaching tons of women to desensitize themselves to the pain of rejection and approach-anxiety! I haven't seen PUAs look deeply into the reasons for these emotional responses, instead they're just bulldozed. Also, there's a fair bit of criticism of each other's looks, personality, shyness/stand-offishness, questioning the PUA paradigm, etc.

There's this collective narrative of 'We're not good with women and I'm gonna prove this to you'. Incels take this rationale to 'I'm not good with women and there's nothing to be done about it', while PUAs take this to 'I'm not good with women, but I can improve myself and get good despite that'. While that may seem empowering, what I found is that the belief still comes from 'I'm not good with women' so their attempts at getting good are neurotic. PUAs justify this by saying 'If I don't take action NOW, NOW, NOW, then my only option is to take the black pill cuz taking action is all I got!'

If you're familiar with Parts Work, Incel and PUA are 2 protector aspects for the same vulnerable aspect of self. The vulnerable self is one which believes that it's a dog-eat-dog world, the Universe is against me and I have to beat the universe to get what I want. What they fundamentally miss is that the universe is actually doing its best to give them what they want! #LawOfAttraction

What are your thoughts on this? I know I'm all over the place writing this.

I was in a coffee shop a year ago. There's a group of middle age women having a field day laughing about the psycho who ran over people in a van. Disgusting people.

There's certain portions of the population who are separated from the herd (for whatever reason). Ostracism was used in tribal times.

You can see that same aspect in the workplace, college campuses particularly in the gender studies dept lol and any hardcore ideology.

The universe is giving what they want? Did the incel want to be a incel? Did the people under the tires of his mini van want to be there?

I checked out a group meet up on meditation. Conversation about love and that evil doesn't exist. If you read Man's search for meaning by Viktor Frankl about escaping Nazi Germany concentration camps, it really takes a dump on the notion.

In dark knight, Alfred says, "some men want to watch the world burn." No cute woo woo hocus pocus will fix that. Read about the Gulags. There's evil in the world. There's no woo woo that will stop she Stalin or Hitler and others to come. Its naive at best.

A corollary to Law of Attraction is that whatever you resist persists. It doesn't work only for the good stuff, i.e. what you want, it also works for the bad stuff, i.e. what you 'don't want'! As far as I can see, it's not just a cute idea, it's frickin serious what could happen if you neglect it.

Yupp! They weren't really concerned about understanding what causes someone to run over people in a van. I don't like when that happens either. It shows a lack of responsibility for evil in the world, which only makes the society more dangerous.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I won't debate you on this!

Its what's so alarming about the push for socialism or Communism. I like Russell Brand. He's funny but he pushes COMMUNISM.

I enjoy the law of state transference.
