A subtle social game

1 post in this topic

What I would like to discuss here is the possibility of the existence of a subtle social game based on selfish interests. By "interests" I don't mean the obvious, for example, political alliances in the pursuit of power. But I'm wondering about the bases of most basic human connections.

What are the factors that allow true friendship or companionship to happen?

How much is it common for people to "select" other people to connect with based on their prejudice or occult interests. Again, I'm trying to look more into subtle aspects here not just the obvious kinds prejudice we are used to talk about.

It would be good to have some books or references about it too.

Thank you!
