Is contemplating particular question (personal question) only once enough...

6 posts in this topic

  I am focused on installing habit of contemplating with journal. Today, is the first day. I did, Leo’s exercise: I got myself a journal. Set a 30 minute timer. Chose a question, and I started contemplating it. Question which I chose today was: How do I keep myself from backsliding. I successfully completed full 30 minutes without getting distracted.

  • My question is: Is it about contemplating same question over and over again, or do I need to change the question for tomorrow’s contemplation? Change question, every single day?

  I think, This really depends on the person, so what’s your experience with this? For me, tomorrow I think I will contemplate different question...

You keep the question as long as you don't have an answer or until the question becomes irrelevant due to deeper realizations.

@Lento Yeah :D

You could also switch things around I don't know.

@Rasheed

Maybe you need to consider contemplating this question in your journal!

Wow. Thanks. That’s a great idea.

Yep contemplating it will give you your answer

But for my own contemplation:

It's not about contemplating just for the sake of contemplating, but it's about the intention you set and the changes that result from it

You can figure it out on a surface level but there needs to be real depth of understanding to the point where the situation is clearly understood sparking necessity for change
