When confronted with a limiting belief or emotion these days I am trying to       habituate asking the questions,"Is this true?"  "Can I know this is really true?"  I then try to do the turn around question to find out what my core fear or issue is.

This goes nicely with Leo's most recent video on finding absolute truth:

"It's better to light a candle than curse the darkness"

Presence.  Acceptance.  Purpose.

Quote

There is no failure, only feedback. - Anthony Robbins

That quote is great, but not good enough. It's really great to bust through the fear of failure, but it still doesn't really detach yourself from the outcome, and that's just not good. So here is my final mantra :

"There is no failure, there is no success, feedback doesn't matter, and I really only care about what I'm doing."

Hah!  Statements like this truly reveal the depth of our dysfunction when taken in earnest.

Yes, very much so.

This thread is a great idea! Makes me want to create some kind of public database of the most profound quotes.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

I'll collect them in my OP but that may be a more scalable solution.

Thanks everyone for all the great quotes. The "quote" feature isn't working right for me right now. I really like the Eckhart Tolle one in the original post & also the "Why Are you unhappy? Because 99.9 percent of everything you do is for yourself --- and there isn't one."   --- Wei Wu Wei

This quote is in a book I am currently reading, The Book of Not Knowing by Peter Ralston. This particular quote speaks to the self in our culture. He describes how our assumptions, beliefs, and conclusions about others and our selves seem to make us believe that this is who we really are. But there isn't a you, it's all made up. The real you lies beneath all of that. The being. I really got some insight into "myself" after reading this part of the book and doing some introspection.

And 90% of what we worry about never happens anyway. And that's a rough estimate.

  • I can, and I will.
  • Keep going.

These have been some of the most powerful words/mantras. They've helped me push through so many challenges, both great and small.

In reply to quotes, I love this one:  "What other people think of me is none of my business." Wayne Dyer is one who has quoted this I believe.
