I am centrist, what are my shortcomings?

Centrism isn't even a real political position dude.  It's political relativism.  You're only a centrist relative to the generally held political positions of a given time.

If you admit to being a centrist you're just too lazy to actually formulate a real understanding of policy and the direction human civilization should go.

The only valid centrist is one who does it simply as a form of compromise within our political system in order to shift policy one direction or the other.

So what if you have idea where human population should move, but you have things that you agree with on both sides, left and right on them self are huge spectrum and hold lots of different beliefs, it is just silly to put all people in two baskets and say that it is political position, but being in middle is not, maybe centric is not right word then.

Left and Right are also  only relative to time in history and changes with time, sure there is movement,  but centric approach  makes movement too relative to time.
