Meaning of psychosis

Hi,

Over the past year I've experienced two psychotic episodes. Much like psychedelic experiences, these episodes are beyond words. The main feature is delusions, for instance the impression that some random piece of writing has direct personal significance and that it is telling you something important. What can we make of these experiences and how do we interpret them? I feel it to be quite reductive to view psychosis as a "glitch" of the brain.

I'd love to know everyone's opinion on the subject.
