What is love?

234 posts in this topic

@Anna1 I started out my spiritual journey as a Christian as a child, understood God = love and then after learning about the Law of Attraction, I think there's no other word quite like Love as a pointer. Awareness and consciousness are also really important pointers, but what is the extra thing that love or what the word "love" understood as a pointer to, adds or takes away? That's the thing that makes existence itself, and all of this work worth it, in my opinion anyway.

@mandyjw You do what works for you. I'll do what works for me. I don't use the word love to point to my true nature as pure awareness.

Not my thing I guess.

Right, love can’t be love’s thing.

Again, that's observable. ....by who??

Love.

So, why throw in a word such as love that holds sooooooooo many attributes, to something that's attributeless!

Love has no attributes, that’s the beauty of the ultimate realization...just, Love.

Without the my....Love.

if you feel love dying inside you, if it seems like death would be better, then it’s probably the process of awakening

The idea of self, the idea of love “dies”, revealing the actuality of awakening - Love.

No, but I'm not buying that Love is the same thing as Consciousness/Truth/God and all that.

Where’d ya go? Logic run out? (That’d be great if so) ♥️ Luv ya.

Replace the word "love" above with "awareness" and I totally agree.

@Anna1 It would be quite a level of funny though, no? Like infinite?

What would be a level of funny?

We are using different words for the same thing obviously,  but yours is a loaded word,  that I choose to not use for reasons already explained ....

There's no point in keeping answering those "why's". In the end the question "why?" becomes meaningless.

Yes it does. Indeed it does. Then it’s the most meaningful possible question.

@Anna1 I hear ya. ?? Makes good sense.

@Mikael89 FYI, McKenna and Ralston are wrong.

This is not a matter of believing people. You must do the practices.

Do not make a mockery of this work but being on this forum and talking without having done any work.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Do you think Ralston will understand it eventually? Or does he actually understand it but withhold from speaking about it?

Don't laugh. You are just as wrong as they are.

You have no idea yet how much you're not understanding.

@Leo Gura I have done work, and I am doing work. But okay.

By the kind of posts you make, it's clear you've barely touched the work.

I have no idea. If he doesn't understand by now, at his age, he probably never will.

If a teacher does not acknowledge Love as identical to Truth, they are not fully awake. Period.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

You don't know what I do and don't know. Don't act as if you know me or my experiences.

By your attitude it is clear that you are not awake to what Love is.

Contemplate: What is Love? until it kills you, until you drown in it. Only then will your awakening be complete.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Generally speaking does age really matter, though?

I mean, you’ve seen the ending of Return of the Jedi... you know, Anakin Skywalker redeeming himself?
