What do you consider to be your worst habit?

Are you working on it?

How did you become conscious about it?

My worst habit was being too judgmental and laughing at people... it was years ago.

I became conscious about it when I got to know some people who I judged alot and I realized I would exactly be same if I was them.

I started to carry a notebook with me everywhere and wrote every judge came to my mind about anyone. Then I could help myself to reduce it. Still working on it though!

(More of a behavior than a habitHmm I suppose it is “basing my actions/decisions off of what I think is expected of me and not from what’s right for me based off intuition for what promotes growth/expansion and brings me happiness/self respect”

I am recognizing and allowing by...

Loving myself / radical honesty / getting in touch with my feelings and observing thought-stories

Distraction.  When you know yourself and what you want to do, distraction emerges as a clear concept for you.

Food and Porn. It's ruining my life, it's ruining my potential. I'm vegan, but still heavily addicted to whatever I can get.

All the facet of adhd are my worst habits.

People with inattentive ADHD make careless mistakes because they have difficulty sustaining focus, following detailed instructions, and organizing tasks and activities. They are easily distracted by external stimuli, and often lose things. They may leave projects unfinished and appear not to listen when you speak.

so I use weed, it makes me focus

some would say that is a bad habit cause I smoke it in the EU way, with 60% tobacco. ( btw, stop smoking pure, that's a total waste, but yeh thc oil is my futur goal )

I don't see anything wrong with me really, it will depends what I go for in life. I never feel that the 10000 hours of video games I did was a waste ( some of it, but very little ), I m proud and happy of each hours "wasted".

Smoking! I’m down to 2 to 3 cigarettes a day from 60 a day. It’s bloody hard work!

I’ve tried using will power but it didn’t work, I went “nuclear” and put myself off trying. Now, I’m using persuasion and I’m nearly there. :)

I have an opinion on everything :D

Weed.

Im always “working on it.” ?

I’ve sent myself to “rehab” last year  30 day solo mediation retreat to Guatemala, and got clean. But i quickly went back to smoking regularly after a few months.

I know it sounds silly but I’m kinda proud of myself that weed is my only addiction. I was a hardcore drug addict basically my whole life. Prob shouldn’t be alive right now. I’m the very best version of myself at this moment. Thank you actualized.org @Leo Gura

Addicted to helping others see the true nature within themselves. A fire burns within and i can't stand any living thing suffering.

I guess the downside to it, is that, It can get excessive and thus becomes a habit as you end up focusing too much on others thus you end up burning or even potentially blinding yourself by your own light.

Balance & Simplicity ~ Self-Reminders :)

@Cody_Atzori I can relate.  Food and porn are awful habits of mine.  I've been "sober" from drugs and alcohol for almost 2 years, but I've simply replaced it with food and porn.  I pretty much isolate indoors on my days off because I don't like being out in public. I have all the time in the world practically to exercise and money is no concern; I could eat a lot healthier.  I'm very aware of these habits that seem to be controlling my life, but I can't seem to change them.  This is my very first post on this site.  I found it by accident.  I'm hoping I can find some insight here.  My life used to be awesome and now it's gone to shit.

Broadly speaking I'd have to say past psychological conditioning that serves little utility, such as allowing my mind to perceive tasty foods as good foods when they're actually unhealthy (based on the following I've now learned to recondition myself to eat less and eat better).

Based on practical exploration of the subject I'm beginning to realise just how much I previously underestimated the role that emotion plays in influencing memory and conditioning that appears in the future, as well as, how various sophisticated (so well skilled) imaginative visualisation practices can allow consciousness to take back control from the environment with respect to how an organisms emotional responses are conditioned.

Emotion I've found is constantly influencing memory and memory constantly influencing conditioning, or put another way, involuntary responses such any one present state we're experiencing. This tangentially brings to light the example of say the beneficial but strategic use of psychedelics  in the rearrangement of conditioned responses.

Its a huge point of inquiry that I'm learning a lot about in my personal research. All in all its now made me pay much greater attention to my emotions (given their significance on memory, how memory encodes experience and therefore future conditioning or the reconditioning on experience) and learning to use the imagination as a vehicle for exploring personal enhancements (for motivation and otherwise) here as best as I am able to.

I don't at all plan on using psychedelics in the near future but I do down the track, at present my focus is mainly on understanding the depths of my capacities here first in order to build a practical foundation. This foundation will aid me in many other areas of personal consciousness research whether relating to psychedelics or otherwise.
