Addicted to victim mentallity

14 posts in this topic

Mainly being conscious of it, being aware of when one is doing/ saying things out of victim mentality.

Do you have specific examples of one being in victim mentality?

The how is what you build, the why is in your heart.

@theking00 Becoming fully aware of it as it happens is the first big step. Time should take care of the rest.

Understand the source of the problem. Why you turn to victim mentality in the first place.

Also, accept and take full 100% responsibility helps.

As a practice, you can practice doing hard things every day to break free of the victim kind of thinking.

I recommend looking up David Goggins for inspiration.

For a book I recommend, the obstacle is the way , feel the fear and do it anyway and for mindset, I recommend looking up growth mindset vs fixed mindset and the bulldog mindest.

Also check out leos videos on victim thinking.

most importantly: Take action and face your fears.

Try to stop saying "I can't do this" and say "how am I going to do this" Eventual you can say "I will do this" instead.

Youre a victim of your victim mentality.

Usealy there are three parties in action when you have a problem or something. These are: the victim, the saviour and the offender. Try to identifiy who or what they are. Then see that because you've put yourself in the victim position that you are also the offender for keeping the situation as it is. Now from being the offender take action to resolve the situation and the victim, saviour and offender positions will dissapear. This helped me a lot!

If you get robbed during those 30-days... Your fault!

This video tells you that fault and blame are different from responsibility. Ego plays the game of fault and blame to distract you from solving problems.

your main problem is that you think that other people can decide what you should/ should not do, the truth is that there is no right and wrong and all the rights and wrongs are your own perception, so from now on, make a decision that serves your own agenda, not others!

Are you able to recognise when you are playing victim?. There is a lot of great advice here about taking responsibility for your thoughts, but my question is are you able to recognise a victim thought pattern as it happens ?
