Letting go of traumatic events

2 posts in this topic

This is something I am having a hard time doing. I find that these memories come up out of no where and have so much control over me and my awareness. I know it no longer exists and no longer serves me in the present. I feel like I work through them, but they manage to come back out like an ugly pimple. It's always with me. I don't know what to do.

Thank you,

Karlie

One must find out what needs to be learned from the experience. People tend to build an identity around trauma "I am the one who went threw this", once this happens new perspectives on the experience get thrown away because one refuses to see it as anything other then trauma. So then, one must find what context, what angle, one needs to look at the experience under in order to find peace.

The how is what you build, the why is in your heart.
