nofap and wet dreams

Do wet dreams during nofap count as relapses? I mean they do not arise through a conscious decision but it's still an ejaculation. Whenever I try no fap it happens after 6 or 7 days, mostly I lose my motivation afterwards to continue nofap.

Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.

I would do what motivates you the most. As long as you try your best to surrender the addiction you will be fine. You could be trying to avoid wet dreams but not count them as relapses if that works for you.

It doesn't count as a relapse. It's just that your body is throwing out excess sperm. If wet dreams counts as a relapse then urinating also counts as relapse since your excess sperm comes out with urine also. It comes out in many ways actually not just these two ways.

Don't resist it. Because if your body dosn't find a way to throw out the excess you'll get what is called "blue balls" which is not fun at all. It happens to many people who do nofap, it happened to me once also.

This is not a nofap forum lol

But coming from a 105 streak nofapper in the past, I´ll reply you.

----By the way, I am always surprised when people ask "does x count" . 99% it feels right what does count and what it does not bro. Also, depending on WHY you are doing nofap, you should now if "x thing" counts or not!

Anyway, if you are doing NoFap for quitting porn, for energy, for anxiety, or etc, Wet Dreams don´t count. BUT, they are usually a good indicator of how you are doing NoFap. If they keep happening very usually, that usually means that you are still in some way consuming porn.

The fact of HOW you do NoFap is very important. I did 105 days but I let NoFap convert into an 3-month exercise of self-delusion and hypomania. Sure, the "mania" feels amazing at the beggining, but in the end you´ll see it will get you nowhere. After all of this time I can see the increase confidence of NoFap primarly comes from abstaining to watch porn, not from jerking. Both give you confidence but the first seems grounded, the second feels fake and drug-induced. (if you don´t channel it correctly)

This is not to say that abstaining from jerking off can be great, but usually it requires a lot of mistake and error to know how to channel the energy right and by the way a lot of Yoga exercises are destined to this, if you are not doing crazy workouts, you need some Yoga exercises to channel the energy correctly into more consciousness and self-awareness way and less brutal mania confidence that the testosterone provides.

Ye. I gave up on nofap after having wet dreams 7 days in a row. It was brutal waking up all weak and wet in the morning.

It depends on transcending sexual energy, if you are not living in a higher conscious way you will have wet dreams because you will not be recirculating your sexual energy which is creative energy. We have wet dreams because we still somewhat living in animalistic-level as we still partake in animalistic lifestyles/behaviors. Once we evolve past this and let go of all that no longer serves us and only focus on your true nature, your true form, they no longer occur.

The variables of getting wet dreams as far as I know:

1. sexual drive

2. circulation of sexual energy

3. strength of PC-Muscles

When you don't masturbate the sexual energy accumulates at the root chakra till the pressure gets too much and you ejaculate while sleeping. If you want to prevent wet dreams, channel the energy upward (and store it in the belly if you get headaches or other such symptoms). You can do this through Kriya Yoga. Opening the microcosmic orbit will also help. Once one masters this, blue balls also won't occur anymore.

If you still have wet dreams, you must strengthen your PC-MUSCLES. If you are serious, do repetitions working up to 200 a day, a hold working up to 2 minutes and strong holds about 20 seconds.

If you do regular Nofap you need not be concerned about wet dreams, if you however want to have more energy, motivation,... I recommend you try semen preservation (you can masturbate and have sex but without ejaculation. non ejaculatory orgasms are fine, wet dreams not)

Your semen is gonna have to get out of your body somehow, and it does so via wet dreams if you do nofap.

I suggest doing nofap, but the real reason guys do nofap is because it distracts you from the inner game work you have been ignoring...

Fap, carry on doing what your doing, and forget about it. Masturbating isn't so bad as long as you don't sit there and watch porn all day.

@RawJudah when you draw the sexual energy up, the semen doesn't have to get out via wet dreams but can get reabsorbed by the body instead

But I agree, don't obsess with nofap, there is more important work to be done  (however, in case PMO hinders you from doing that, nofap can be a great help)

NO it does NOT count as relapse of course.

Unless you pull your dick and start jerking it off then it's NOT a relapse no matter what anyone else says/claims.

Wet dreams are perfectly fine and normal unless you are looking to develop some pathologies. Your body needs to release excess sperm somehow. Chill man.

If your body is deliberately finding a way to get rid of excess sperm doesn't that tell you something about 'nofap'? Maybe it's not the best approach to whatever the reason why you initiated 'nofap'.

No, if you're a young virile man, involuntary nocturnal emissions are a sign your body is recovering from fapping addiction. Used to get them after a few weeks sans masturbation in my teens and 20s, but it doesn't happen anymore now. Likely because I'm better able to circulate the sexual energy from my yoga and breathwork practices (instead of feeling ferociously horny), and also could be because I'm older, and I damaged my sex drive with such an extreme masturbation habit for much of the past 10 years.
