Elliot Hulse is a cult leader right?

Don’t know if I should follow his work or not. Would love to hear your opinions.

If everyone here told you to follow him, would you do it? Think for yourself, do you resonate with him? Are you patient enough to spot and avoid his bullshit?

I don’t think so. Thank you I should really think more independently.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. The guy has a weird concept of masculinity. Pretty much admitted that he doesn't think women should be able to vote by omission. He has great dynamic meditations, just be careful of some of his rationalizations. Side note: he reminds me of Jorgen VonStrangle from the Fairly Oddparents.

Not really a cult leader.

But he is trying to establish his niche, catering to stage orange men who are socially awkward and feel repressed. So he probably tries to overcompensate by getting them together and do weird exercises to break that social conditioning. Nothing wrong with that.

Of course, he isn't the highest quality teacher in the area of masculinity. But clearly there are men who resonate with him.

I like him, but like people have said, he's making money off of stage orange men. Men that lack self esteem. Its a great business if you really think about it...

But he's into the red pill and MGTOW stuff too, so take that stuff with a pinch of salt ;)

Sounds like its a problem of hyper-masculinity. Attachment to the macho identity.

Although I haven't watched his videos for about 4 years. Sounds like he's drunk the MGTOW Kool-Aid. Which is a shame. It means he's developing a stage Green shadow a la Jordan Peterson.

@Leo GuraOne of his less-than-finer moments was going off about soy, saying men shouldn't eat or drink it, because it's given to post-menopausal women for estrogen treatment. Research doesn't support the claim that the phytoestrogens in soy have any significant impact on estrogen or testosterone levels.

There's something about that guy that always came off as really phony to me, like he was trying very hard all the time to seem like he knew what he was talking about (as well as macho, I guess).

Not surprised to hear that he's into the whole red pill thing. (But for some people, the red pill stuff is a step up from where they were before, so that may not be a bad thing. Could be worse.)

I used to watch some of his videos, but I think the thing that made me start to actively avoid them was a clickbait thumbnail he made on a video about masturbation, lol. I found it comical (he screenshot himself at a point in the video where he was making a random face that could easily be mistaken for orgasmic ecstasy), but I just couldn't take the guy seriously after that. It looked like the thumbnail to a gay porn. xD

@eleveneleven

Yes.

The phony vibe is because he is trying to uphold an image of "look how virtuous I am. I am a man of principles and morales. I help young men."

I am reminded of Tao Te Ching, Toaism: everything is based on polarities and if something is taken too far the opposite appears.

The person who tries to be beautiful ends up ugly.

The one who goes first ends up last.

Selling a virtue implies one does not believe in it.

The strong quickly become the weak.

Obbsession with living reveals a fear of dying.

True simplicity is not simple.

The braggart feels the most insecure.

I personally like the guy, but I mostly watch his earlier videos on exercise and life stuff, every once in a while I'll watch a newer one.

@JohnnyBravo Well said!

He is trying too hard to be someone that doesn't exist.

He claims to have little ego but the type of YouTube videos he puts out says the opposite.

In the past I liked Elliot, but recently I don't resonate with him, since I'm moving into stage green and he's somehow regressing.

I think that his green shadow is making him regress into a solid blue stage. He was in stage orange years ago, but now you can clearly see how his ideals about his nation, his family and his pride as a traditional man are becoming his north pole. He's clearly regressing back to blue because of fear and confusion about the orange-green phase of the US.

He was a nice inspiration when he was fully orange, but now he's a complete turn-off for me....
