Charm vs Authentic compassion

11 posts in this topic

Hello everyone and thank you for visiting,

I've heared a saying that got me in quite a mix.

It said that when we are inauthentic we try to appear charming to show care, and upon growth we let our authentic compassion unfold effortlessly.

So my question is, how to let go of inauthentic charm?

Tough question. We can’t just let go of narcissism! We have to be aware of it first. Use awareness and simply call yourself out on the “act”. It’s very common! We create this habit, good or bad, and so it must be fully seen to overcome. Acknowledge your intentions and if possible, take your self importance out of the picture.

Directly see why you’re doing it (charm.agenda)

it is very common. So really don’t feel bad calling yourself out. Explore the unknown!

It’s going to take a realization the “act” is completely unnecessary

My story is that I love inspiring those around me, to show that it's possible to heal. It feels good. So I guess I'll keep it for a while. I suppose it's delusion in the sense that I can't control other people's inspiration.

@Anton Rogachevski

Authentic (detached, surrendered, present, loving, confident) = Charming.

When this is fully realised, it becomes effortless.

When you totally stop expecting to get anything from anyone.

The only thing that worked from me.

Same here.

I have an affirmation like that, and I read it as part of my routine.

Thank you for your input dear friend.
