@Faceless ??

@Truth Addict The dream and machine terminology was as much a play on the op as it is true or not true (lighten up ☺️). No one can tell you what you are, we can only help you with what you are not. When you are what you are, then we are not. You were just dreaming us.

Hi everyone! I am just reading. Very interesting thread.

Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?

so there are many different layers of reality in a big city and on top of that you have the dream machine.

but underneath the dream machine is that what is real in a city, so if paul would be interested to see the dream machine and the city, paul would go maybe to see both... but therefore paul needs to explore the city first, maybe paul even is not so interested in the big big dream machine but more in the tiny ones. his friends would maybe live in brooklyn and that’s where he would start - but then manhattan and central park are also very interesting. maybe he would just fall right into the city out of the dream into the dream, inbetween just a yoga mat.

Ahhh nice.

Does the dream character Paul wake up? Or does the higher consciousness thatvis dreaming of Paul wake up?

As long as Paul is immersed in his character and playing Paul, there will not be awakening because there is the underlying assumption that he and his world is real.

Imagine Paul goes seeking for enlightenment. He spends his days in libraries reading, in meditation centers and yoga studios. He listens to nonduality speakers on youtube. Yet, he just can’t seem to wake himself up. . . That’s because he is immersed within the dream and trying to wake up himself, Paul. Yet Paul is a dream character within the dream. A dream character doesn’t wake up. The higher consciousness wakes up and realizes it’s a dream (in this analogy the person who is dreaming of Paul).

Similarly, one’s “real life” character cannot wake up to the dream as long as that character is immersed and identified as being that character. It’s a similiar dynamic, just a conscious level higher.

if we realize we are the dream machine, then we can choose our dream, is that the ultimate goal, to be nothing and everything?

That is an amazing exploration. I'd relax the second part about an ultimate goal.

paul would be just a pointer. (or a christmas tree).

so in any dream machine the questions is: what’s the dot.

it might be useful to watch the episode of the Leo talking about two soda cans (pepsi cola) explaining differences and similarities. If someone remembers that episode, It would be helpful if  s/he shares the link

so i wonder if there are many bubbles in a soda can, what happens if the content of one bubble melts with another bubble. but in one bubble there might be more co2 and in the other there might be more o2.

or what would happen if from square one all the bubbles in a soda can would contain only o2? or are there vacuum bubbles? bubbles that vacuumate the the whole soda?

One may be just co2 bubble. Another may be more o2 bubble than co2 bubble. And another may be vacuum bubble, but regardless of content they are all bubble. B| :D

The experiences are different, but not the experiencer which perceives them. Ultimately, it's all the non-dual Total One taking all forms, all experiences, all human beings, all objects, all perceptions. Only Consciousness exists, only Consciousness is the doer. Only consciousness, being fully non-dual conscious, will reveal that there is only It. All this (reality) is this It. Taking the from of reality, being itself formless. Existent, self-aware, conscious.
