Pacing yourself are you?

Yes.

And I wanna try some psychedelics. 5MeO-DMT.

It is nerve wracking but it could help me to expand my consciousness.

I have NEVER done psychedelics.

Notice @The Don that Cetus last two posts refer to egos fixed nature.

What's stopping you from having a direct experience of ego death right now?

Ego will go about things with a fixed disposition. So it prevents or resists ego death inherently. Key words..ego death RIGHT NOW. As to move in a fixed groove implies time or thought/ego. Escapes from now. Ego fuel.

If you feel your self-enquiry is seriously fucking with your ego your doing it right.

This shows how flimsy the ego is and how it is questioning its own fixed nature. It wants its usual ego fuel, and you are starving it.

Ego just hangs there suspended in the nothingness supported only by it's own illusion.

I understand. Thank you for clarifying that.

The mind itself is the EGO.

And I have a question about @Leo Gura. Is he enlightened?

So how can I be able to really understand your statement? Beyond the mind.

You will be ok dude. Just start exploring yourself in direct experience. You can start right NOW :)?

you will never arrive, because you never actually departed. That’s the gospel dude:D

I couldn’t understand anything on the forum 6 months ago. You understand what’s written on here when you understand what’s inherent in your own experience. There are a few tips you will find on here though. Some more substantial, some not so much. Cetus pointed at some important things. Explore them.

You be aight, dude:)

@The Don Here's something that's not often said about ego death. Once you've experienced it for yourself, it's actually kind of cool in a strange way. You learn to make friends with it because  it offers you something other then what you had access to before. Then you can't look away.

One night I was staring at the ceiling, a sudden thought emerged with the realization that I've always expected that something would happen, that some experience would come from the outside, alter my consciousness and Enlighten me, so I did what I never did before, and the attention got inverted, it really felt like a total inversion of attention, from expecting something to come, to seeing what Is.

And there it was, the most precious nothing one could never imagine, there was no fear of losing it, because it was not an experience, it was the essence, prior to all experience.

I think that the concepts of Enlightened people, Ego's, Life and Death, won't do anything for us as far as truth is concerned. @The Don

Look into your direct present experience and notice if there is an ego.

The fascination with experience and images is what overlooks the obvious.

@Anders901 Call that the ground state of all experience.

From an experiential point of view, if we didn't experience Birth, why would we assume Death?

Yes, nothing will ever stain it.
