Do you keep the two separate or do you have days when you simply contemplate for an hour and don't do any traditional mindfulness meditation?

No, they are different.

Meditation is about stilling the mind to an extreme degree.

Contemplation involves using the mind.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

@Leo Gura have you had any enlightenment experiences from your Kriya yoga practice yet? If not, how long do you think it will take you?

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie

@How to be wise I had an enlightenment experience in my sleep last night.

Mostly what yoga does for me though is raise my baseline level of consciousness throughout the day.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.
