badly unfulfilled recently

14 posts in this topic

for some time I experience stronger cravings for food, masturbation, movies, etc. I think thats because Im starting to get aware a lot of this pointlessness and i subconsciously think that stuff will fulfill me somehow.

what changed recently is that i started doing yoga for peace 5 min, meditate 20 min and then yoga for self exploration 5 min. those yogas are from the isha site, from sadhguru.

I feel irritation, restlessness, and whatever i do i feel like its not interesting, doesnt have meaning, like for example watching movies. what can I do? or why is it happening?

The reason you go for these things like masturbation, movies, food, etc. Is because you want bigger experience. You want to experience something new. Some kind of excitement.

You life is probably stagnant. Maybe same situations. Same people. Same school. Same everything everyday makes you dull and then you seek for something that gives you some kind of buzz. Like weed, for example, video games, porn, unhealthy food etc.

Now the solution is of course simple but also difficult. You need something like a life purpose. Some excitement. Traveling is very good - refreshing ;)

These are quite life changing solutions. Usually people want to never leave their house and lie in their bed because traveling and exploring the world seems to crazy for them. But desire for excitement is still there, so they choose alchohol or other buzzs. That's way everyone has so many addictions. What's happening to you is happening to 99% of the world.

The real solution is this....... IT'S YOGA. And I'm specifically talking about Isha Yoga.

Just look at those people how they live how they feel and smile. Their lives are full of advetures. Since I started doing Isha Yoga 8months ago. I traveled 5 times. I met guru's. I slept in a forest. I was exploring so many places. It's like life became so instense. Now I live in a totally different country just to make money and then travel to India. Everyday is different now for me. And it's all because of Yoga. Because Yoga enables you to have enourmos balance. You can do whatever in life and be okey. I experiened more Life in these 8months then ever before. Like sadhguru likes to say "Life on full throttle" Now I understand what it means :D and still it's just a beginning for me. It gets more and more fun as you go.

Here's an example of someone who practices yoga for 7years. Take a look what kind of life he lives. And I know many like him who do the same practices

@Salvijus I never traveled and i wont be able to for the next 7 years because i have an army contract (im 20).

maybe the isha yoga is better or more effective than from leo's books, which is what ive been doing, but i cant attend to learn the yoga because its abroad. i dont think im doing the yoga by the books correctly, and ive no idea how to do them correctly.

Tbh, i've read santa gamana book on yoga and have no idea how to do his exercises correctly. I don't feel anything from them. At least from kriya ones. I feel more from conventional yoga even. I think i'll look up what Sadhguru has, maybe it will be better for me

one thing I recognize in you, is an unredeeming honesty, and that will certainly lead you straight to heaven

Then fulfill yourself, doing something that you do not like goes against your natural flow. Find what excites you the most and brings you the biggest joy, this is in tune with your natural self or it wouldn't be as it is. Find your passion and live it!

Everything else comes naturally.

Im having trouble with that, because my circumstances dont allow me to- I have 2 options, doing something in the computer or with people, other stuff doesnt really interest me. I tried going out right now places where people at to try to talk to girls, and there were only 40-60 year olds, so people are off the list because i dont have friends that are free. In the computer I could watch movies, videos, read, do the life purpose course thats the stuff i enjoy usually, but right now i feel like its lame. im out of options really, because i could also do psychedelics, but i have exams right now and i dont have whole 2 days or a day to spend, I am planning to after the exams, but until then i dont have anything, thats in 2 weeks.

Then Create Something, you are a co-creator at the end of the day :) Ask yourself what could you do right at this precise moment that will bring you the most excitement and joy? whatever it is, do that. That will lead you to something else, follow the synchronicities.

If you ever feel stuck again, repeat the same method. Meditation can help clear things up so the answer or feeling is more clear.

I havent found anything that excites me and im still feeling shitty. its not just that im unfulfilled but I have anger, sadness, discomfort, discontentment... Nothing bad really happens in my life situation but I feel like shit. I started exercising daily and doing sometimes the wim hof method and it doesnt help. Still have cravings for pleasure.

@VikingYou are simply feeling what you always feel but now with awareness. Usually, when people feel cravings, they are to escape the underlying unsatisfactoriness. Now you are simply aware of it without the automatic reaction to use distraction to escape.

Allow yourself to feel the cravings and use it as an object of meditation to investigate. It may not seem like it but you are going through a critical and necessary transition in your spiritual development.
