Aspergers system and Yellow thinking

Would Aspergers or high functioning autism have anything to do with Yellow thinking?

Think people who have aspergers are more like specialists and mastery over one field. Yellow thinkers are more about connecting different domains of knowledge and going meta. People with aspergers are very sensitive to cognitive dissonance when “yellow” people are better at allowing paradoxes or polarities.

I'm autistic myself and going into yellow, and from what I know about the autistic community is that they vary as much as normal people. Like in most first world societies, most are somewhere between Orange and Green.

The neurodiversity movement is a particular expression of Orange and Green opinions. Neurodiversity is the belief that cognitive differences are just differences, and not necessarily disabilites. Autistic people may lack social skills, but they're also more likely according to research to have greater analytic abilities and a much deeper ability to focus on tasks. ADHD people may lack focus, but they're also more likely to be creative and original in adapting to new environments.

Orange autistic people often tend to value success, and feel broken at the standards of society of success being outside their cognitive differences. So many of them disagree with the neurodiversity movement -- as they see Green's idealism as something out of emotional overoptimism. Those supporting neurodiversity though, tend to be green, and are trying to promote equality and human rights similar to the LGBT movement.

Yes, @Jonatan, Autistic people also lack the ability to see combinations of subjects well, but they often tend to make up for an increased eye for detail in analysis. Systems thinking is not just about connective ideas, but also the root causes of issues itself -- an often very developed skill in autistic people. Yellow is analytic, and this perchant for analysis can serve them well in Yellow.

You think you’re going into Yellow at 17 years old?

@Joseph Maynor Are there any age restrictions for S.D.-stages?:P I don't think so, Joseph. Sure, especially when we're talking about Stage Yellow the older you are the more lessons and insights you can incorporate and integrate in your general understanding and the more life-experience you have the better you presumably are at connecting all the dots and such, but generally, if yellow-type thinking is the way one thinks about the world and evaluates it, it should be just fine at any age.

Nobody is Stage Yellow at age 17 sorry.  You need to live a good while to evolve into Yellow.

@Joseph Maynor Yeah, maybe not fully, that'd be highly unlikely, I can agree with you on that. But, you're not exactly "fixed" to one particular stage of course. Being at stage yellow is the best possible position to draw lessons from all the other stages below it and to learn from them. Just remember that S.D. has more to do with values and worldviews rather than actual cheracter traits or personalities.

@Joseph Maynor Well, that's an assumption. It's your position and of course it's true because it's true for you, most likely based on your experience that taught you that because you needed longer/more years to get to yellow, others must also live that long to get to yellow as well. But, on that basis my position or anybody else's position is also true for them based on their own experience that says something different. Perception is reality. :)

Joseph's big turquoise ego doesn't like the fact that someone made it to yellow way before he did. Leave the poor man alone

Oy!  You got me.  Your big Ego gets a stroke too.  Everybody leaves a winner.  Why is your name a serial number?   That’s weird man.

Stop getting triggered mr turquoise

Triggered into laughing maybe hehe.  More like a sympathetic chuckle in fact.  Mr. Ego serial number doesn’t like Ego, big surprise there.  Projection ain’t no river in Egypt.  Why do you demonize Ego anyway?  If you stopped doing that you could integrate better.  Just sayin’.  Hey, you don’t have to believe me, listen to your life.  You know what I’m pointing out.  Triggered?  Ha!  You gave yourself too much credit homie.  I’ll let you leave a winner anyway.  Everybody’s a winner in my book.  Everybody gets to be whatever they wanna be — Yellow, Turquoise, have at it.  Stage Yellow in the womb, why not?  Turquoise toddlers?  Sounds plausible to me.  Hey, whatever you want you can have it.  Forget about standards, who needs ‘em.  Just take whatever glory you want right now and run with it.
