The body is the gate, without the body, there is no experience at this level of human depth. One is aware parallel in which he/she conquered the body with the focus attention and the so-called subconscious mind that connects everything. Yet again the body is capable of experiencing the outside world as if one has no body. But that does not mean you are the outside world, because doing that leads to death. The spiritual community has done a very bad thing with the notion of "i'm not the body", same as christians with the notion "god is in the sky".
