Ok so why do we even discuss enlightenment on this forum then?

Because it's a good distraction.

The self LOVES distractions  :)

The irony is that after enlightenment nothing really changes.

If you're holding enlightenment as your ticket out of life, you'll be disappointed. Where you are now, is exactly where you'll be post-enlightenment.

The key difference will be, the seeking will fall away, which can be a huge relief if you've been seeking for many years. Now you can just BE. Your suffering can also diminish, although to what degree will vary.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

That alone would be great

And extra onions with that ty.

It all depends on the degree of the ceasing of segmentation. To what degree of wholeness is integrated into you daily life. It’s one thing to verbally understand liberation but to see and feel deep in your being so that it reflects outwardly in relationship to others is the where freedom from the self really makes it big difference in daily living. Also the more free from distortions of thought the less the center ‘self’ remains. From what I see it is the more free I become from thought the longer intervals of headlessness there are. And timelessness is pure joy. There’s no-thing that will ever come close.

Since last year people have really told me they see a dramatic change in me and how I live. They think it’s very strange to I’m sure. People I’ve known for quite a while say I’m totaly different.

To me of course ?

Yogis aren't supposed to eat onions, too rajasic ;)

If they're Jain, they don't eat anything grown from the ground, so no onions.

Actually that statement was a bit misleading. Jains don't eat root vegetables and meat, other plants are fine.

root vegetables are from hell

One’s center is not one’s center, it is the center of the whole.

And the ego-center is one’s center.

That is the only difference, but that is a vast difference.-

Oops! Now that I read what I wrote, it sounds off. Yeah, they are called "strict vegetarians." It's another term I heard.

Technically, fruits don't grow from earth.

Don't be so sure about that.

Whatever sexual urges and addictions you had before enlightenment will be afterwards, for the most part.

Purifying your cravings is a whole separate ball game.

I think enlightenment completly shuts off all thoughts (desires, cravings).

You might had an awakening experience but if you still have suffering\thoughts, you havent awakened :P

I would like to reframe the question if I may and put it this way: If all your needs were met, meaning there wouldn´t be a need to do anything or get anywhere?:

What would you love to create in your life?

How would you love to share your gifts to the world?

What kind of impact would you love to make?
