Is there any benefit to a woman doing "No Fap", or whatever our equivalent is?

@KimmyG The only reason I'm doing Nofap is because I've noticed the negative effects it has on me. After watching porn for 6 years, my sexual response from masturbation has become extremely numb from what it used to be due to desensitisation. I escalate the extremity and novelty of my porn constantly to try and get the "same hit" that I used to.

Unless you've noticed some negative effects from porn/masturbation, my guess would be that Nofap probably has little utility for you.

Hark ye yet again — the little lower layer. All visible objects, man, are but as pasteboard masks. But in each event — in the living act, the undoubted deed — there, some unknown but still reasoning thing puts forth the mouldings of its features from behind the unreasoning mask. If man will strike, strike through the mask! How can the prisoner reach outside except by thrusting through the wall? To me, the white whale is that wall, shoved near to me. Sometimes I think there's naught beyond. But 'tis enough.

How long since you do fap? If you are just starting you will not know the difference of negative effect of doing fap or positive effect of doing nofap.. if you' are already fapping before, try to do no fap for atleast 2 months, and you will notice the benefits.. and i think? Spotting difference is very effective if you are also working out your Consciousness.. you will spot not only the benefits also you will spot why you do that in the first place. You will also understand your habits and why you want to stop fap :D

@John Iverson I never learned how to fap, thanks god. All the problems it seem to create, it seems as if I didn't miss out on anything.

But I plan to sleep with a woman in the future, so I might eventually find out what a so called orgasm feels like.

Isn't it so, yes or no?

Oh bois, 14 days going strong!

I have fapped and watched porn with awareness, and now I can see the damage it causes, in contrast of the benefits that await me.

The funny thing is, that if I think of masturbating I just cannot do it, I see through it all

It used to be as if I would think about porn, I could not see through it, the mystery of its hidden pleasure always seemed to make me relapse into it, now its not the case, now I can also see how porn is limited in its pleasure, and how it affects me!!

This is wonderful, I feel like this one is gonna shoot through the moon!

Help me!!

I just started a Nofap journey 2 months ago. I do it because i think my subconscious mind is somehow binded to porn since i was a teenager. I've read the benefits of nofap.  Somehow i think its better because one reason: I have to put in the work to get some girls in bed. So i started Nofap like 2 months ago and since then i relapse every time around the 7th day. Its way better than before where i watched it like 5 times a week.

During this journey I more and more realise what i am doing to myself when i watch porn. I'm not saying that i am addicted but hey, doesn't every addict say he isn't addicted to some kind of distraction?

I'm on a 10th day now and i'm really messed up. My monkey mind really wants it. I'm resisting it and try to put my time into meditation instead of watching porn. I get aroused every time i see a girl. Even older co-workers are making me crazy. I realise more and more how lazy i am because of masturbation. And more and more i came to the realisation that it's a stress reliever after work/school/busy days. The easy way is to NOT take action with girls and just release the tension during masturbation. Its one of the key reasons why i'm single my whole life and didn't do risky moves.

Well... i admit...  i'm addicted.

But how can i move on.. I mean.. it's just the 10th day. Many people here are months further. How do i pass this stage and move on... Does it get better or worse?

The irony is, engaging in mental masturbation by reading and writing about the benefits of no-fap while doing no-fap increases the likelihood of relapsing back to P&M, since I'm still fixating on the habit. If you already experienced what it's like to quit wanking for 2 weeks, 2 months, or longer, you don't need to confirm what you already know. Come back to share your experiences one you've broken another personal record. My record is 67 days, so if I don't fap from now until December maybe I'll post a 100 day report, and other that that just some short personal journal entries to document my progress without obsessing over it. Earlier this month I have literally went and fapped the moment after writing for 30 minutes about how no-fap is so great. Really counter-intuitive, the monkey mind will do anything to get me to sacrifice my seed. Succeed at no-fap by not thnking about no-fap. It's like the game.

This thread is teal deer and I fapped a few days ago anyway. What I do find useful though is, once it's been 30 days or so, to watch some videos to remind myself why I want to keep going longer. By then I will have had enough no-fap time invested that thinking about fapping in the context of not fapping won't tempt me to just throw it away, but if I start doing no-fap research only a few days in I'll likely feel like just fapping again.

It's like when someone tells you "don't think of a pink elephant." To stop thinking about fapping means also stop thinking about not fapping.

@kingroboto

It's not just you, something really shifts during the third week where your libido kicks into hyperdrive trying to get you to seek an outlet for sexual energy. But if you stick with it, there is an amazing feeling where brain fog you didn't even realize you were carrying before seems to dissipate right before you, the world literally looks brighter, and you feel infinitely creative, open to the limitless possibilities of life. Long term semen retention changes every aspect of your personality. Even if you have a nocturnal emission, you can retain this state because it's more of a gentle effortless release of excess when your cup runneth over, not this intense burst and loss of subtle body energy that happens when you make yourself ejaculate from sex and masturbating.

It's amusing to observe my subconscious ego trying so hard to get me laid just so it can have some sexual release. I act like such a different person when around people now that it is startling sometimes. Conversations flow much more naturally and particularly when I'm around women my senses and reaction time feels razor sharp. For the time being I enjoy feeling like this new self that I dont want to trade it in for a brief flash of pleasure followed by weeks of building the momentum back.

Don't worry. Soon enough your brain will find a way to mask all the good feelings of being on NoFap and make you believe it's not that important to do it after all.
