I've actually recently really buckled down on this one. decided to post it here. Just started 5 days ago, but I created my vision and strategy yesterday (no I haven't PMO'd), check back up in a month on may 30th.

This is more than just addictions it's about the benefits of not doing PMO

I doesnt matter what you believe. There is enough science nowadays that porn is very similar to coke as far as brain is concerned.

Porn addiction is tough. From meditation my mindfullness is slowly increasing, but my porn addiction isn't getting any better. 10 minutes into my meditation today I felt really sleepy and horny for some reason. Instead of continuing with my meditation, I watched porn! At least I meditated for 45 minutes afterwards.

Every porn addict knows just how severely numbed their pleasure response from masturbation has become. 3-5 years ago when I was 12-14 the pleasure response from masturbation + porn was enormous, but now that's changed. Nofap has been so unsuccessful for me for 2-3 years now (I wasn't 100% serious about nofap during this time though) for me that I've never seen enough progress from abstinence to know that numbed pleasure can even be fixed. I'm worried that I've broken my dick forever in some way. I wonder whether people who don't masturbate but have sex on a weekly basis have a number pleasure response as well.

@ajasatya  I am wondering how long one must go till urges subside. At least in my last attempt from day 30 to day 33 the thought patterns and my energy levels were so f***ed up that I couldn't bear it. How long it took you for your mind to calm down and dopamine levels equalize?

i wouldn't have done it without a solid practice of hatha yoga/kundalini yoga/zazen

@ajasatya thanks. Yeah I feel like some sort of outlet/ tool is needed. Some say that running has done that for them, others that interacting face to face with family members and friends more often. I can see the benefits of hatha yoga. Disturbances in dopamine levels do actually cause not only mental but also physical unease. I will add surya namaskar and some form of pranayama exercise to my routine and will reach for 60+ days :)
